Igeekphone on December 30, according to market research company Omdia, Apple Vision Pro 2 plans to debut in 2027, and the new product uses RGB OLEDoS display.
RGB OLEDoS stands for RGB OLED on Silicon, a display technology that has not yet been commercialized on a global scale.
It does not require a color filter, and its own luminous organic material directly represents red, green, and blue, so it can create a brighter and clearer screen, in short, with higher brightness and better luminous efficiency.
Meanwhile, OLEDoS, which is small, is becoming a key display in the extended reality (XR) market, such as virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), as large screens that are tens to hundreds of times larger can be clearly seen by placing it in front of the eye or using optical elements such as a lens.
It is worth noting that the RGB OLEDoS screen required for the Apple Vision Pro 2 is supplied by Samsung, which earlier this year acquired eMagin, becoming the only company able to supply Apple with RGB OLEDoS displays.
