Up to Core i7-1260P processor, 12-core 16-thread design, up to 4.7GHz, up to 18MB cache capacity, default TDP 28W. Asus also offers two 28W processors, the i5-1240P and i3-1220P, as well as the entry-level Celeron 7305.
In terms of memory, the minicomputer offers two SODIMM slots, compared with one for the Czyon processor, and an M.2 2280 slot for the PCIe4x4.
It’s worth noting that the top of the Chromebox 5 features a Qi wireless charging pad of up to 15W, which is a useful feature if you have a phone that supports wireless charging.
Ports include 1 Thunder 4, 2 HDMI, 1 DP1.4, MicroSD card reader, and a total of 4 USB Type-A front and rear ports.
Asus Chromebox 5 starts at $400 and is expected to go on sale soon.
