Igeekphone News, December 11th: Android Headline, a technology media outlet, published a blog post yesterday (December 10th), reporting that Motorola recently sent holiday gift packages to the media, hinting that during the 2026 CES exhibition, Launch the first book-style foldable phone of the Razr brand.
As the January International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) approaches, major tech giants have begun to warm up. MOTOROLA and its parent company Lenovo have recently sent holiday gift packages to the media for the “Lenovo Technology World” event to be held on January 6, 2026.

The core item of the gift package is a uniquely designed notebook. It is worth noting that this notebook adopts a rare “Wooden Living Hinge” design, using laser cutting technology to make the hard wooden board flexible and foldable.
This process of transforming “traditional non-foldable materials into foldable ones” easily reminds people of the form breakthrough in the field of smart phones. Given that tech media often receive various brand-related merchandise, it might not be surprising if it were just an ordinary notebook. However, this special hinge structure is clearly deliberately guiding the recipient to associate it with some new folding form.

In addition to the physical object, the accompanying textual information further deepened this speculation. The greeting card was printed with the words “New Perspectives” and used a pun to imply the action of “unfolding” (unfold). Combined with the “book” form of the notebook itself, this was interpreted as MOTOROLA possibly being developing a “book-style” foldable phone that opens left and right.
The foldable screen market is mainly divided into two forms: “small foldable” (flip cover) and “large foldable” (book). MOTOROLA has accumulated mature hinge technology and outer screen design experience in the Razr series. However, the brand is currently focusing on the small foldable market. If it enters the large foldable market at this time, it will directly compete head-on with Samsung, Google, as well as Chinese manufacturers such as Huawei and Xiaomi.
