Today, at 8:00 pm on August 29th (next Tuesday), the official announcement for the AYANEO KUN press conference took place, marking the introduction of a high-end large-screen Windows handheld device.
According to the official statement, AYANEO KUN positions itself as the ultimate flagship in the realm of large-screen handhelds. Its appearance, tactile experience, functionality, and even craftsmanship are all crafted to embody the essence of a “high-end boutique.”
Regarding its screen, AYANEO KUN has an 8.4-inch 2.5K resolution IPS original color display. This display is designed to ensure clear and vivid visuals across various indoor and outdoor settings.
Furthermore, officials have confirmed that AYANEO KUN features a larger screen compared to mainstream 7-inch handhelds of a similar size.
When it comes to aesthetics, AYANEO KUN offers a choice between three elegant colors: “Silver Wing,” “Black Feathers,” and “White Clothes.” Its design surpasses thatof conventional large-screen handhelds, embracing a sense of beauty that goes beyond the ordinary.
Turning to its internal configuration, AYANEO KUN will house AMD’s latest flagship processor, the AMD R7 7840U. This processor is equipped with a three-copper tube structure and a sizeable fan akin to those found in PCs. The unleashed performance can peak at 54W (even reaching 56W in real operation), while maintaining a temperature of 88.4 degrees Celsius.
The standout features of the AYANEO KUN handheld include a massive 75Wh (19500mAh) concentrated battery, marking the largest battery ever featured in a Windows handheld device. It also boasts generously sized buttons at the handle level, providing a soft and responsive touch that rivals that of professional controllers. This control experience is on par with professional handles. The device incorporates eight functions that can be freely customized by players.
The classic combination of the Hall joystick and Hall trigger continues to deliver an experience of zero dead zones, zero drift, high precision, enduring longevity, broad range, and ample travel distance. Additionally, a floating eight-way directional key enhances the device’s capacity for precise and sensitive control. The inclusion of dual smart touchpads replicates the tactile feel of a native mouse.
Moreover, the device introduces a key mapping function that enables swift execution of both daily tasks and advanced in-game maneuvers. With four customizable back buttons strategically positioned where fingers naturally rest, these buttons offer a diverse range of functions and seamless integration for multi-finger operations.
