Chuwi CoreBox 4th Available On a Discounted Price of $349

The Chinese manufacturer Chuwi recently introduced Chuwi CoreBox 4th, which does not bring any optical changes with it, but has received some significant upgrades in the built-in hardware. The heart of the Chuwi CoreBox 4th is a 12th-generation Intel i3 processor paired with 16GB RAM and a 512GB SSD.

Currently, this new mini PC is available on Chuwi’s website at a special discounted price of $349. According to the manufacturer, the regular price is $499. Rember, it is a flash sale that will end soon, so hurry.

    Specifications

Its measures 173 x 158 x 73mm (6.8″ x 6.2″ x 2.9″) and features a black and gray chassis made from aluminum-magnesium alloy and polycarbonate (plastic). So, Chuwi CoreBox 4th is a versatile model that targets wide heavy office uses, video editing or photo editing or intermediate gaming.

The processor chosen by Chuwi is an Intel Core i3-1215U, one with 6 cores and 8 threads, with frequencies of 1.2 GHz – 4.4 GHz. Compared to a Gen11 processor, GPU performance increases by 20% here, and multi-thread performance increases by 100%. It is manufactured on the 10nm process and we find that in GeekBench 5 the performance increases by 51% compared to a PC with an i3-1115G4 processor.

The graphics circuit remains an Intel UHD Graphics which does not claim to compete with dedicated gamer cards. However, its performance has been greatly improved with 64 UEs (execution units) which, according to the manufacturer, allow you to play the latest DirectX12 Ultimate games with ultra settings.

The processor is supported by 16GB of LPDDR5-4800 operating memory in a dual-channel configuration, and the manufacturer has provided a 512GB PCIe M.2 SSD for files.

In addition, the company has not forgotten about a solid cooling system with a fan, which is to generate a maximum of 35 dB of noise during full load.

The output graphics performance is high with 3 simultaneous display outputs and 8K compatibility via the Thunderbolt 4 port. The PC also supports HDMI 2.0 and Display Port1.4 in 4K 60fps resolution.

For those who don’t know the Thunderbolt 4 port is 8 times faster than USB 3.0 whose transmission can reach 40Gbps and has HDMI video bandwidth times greater, supporting the output of a single 8K display or two 4K screens.

There is of course Wifi6 (802.11ax) and Bluetooth version 5.1 compatibility. In addition, the Chuwi CoreBox 4th is equipped with a dual RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet port. The USB ports are at the latest USB4 standard. It is Windows 11 is pre-installed.

The Chuwi CoreBox 4th is also Linux-compatible and it can be powered directly from its USB-C port via a universal charger that delivers 65W/100W PD.
