Chuwi CoreBox 4th VS Chuwi RZBox Mini PC Comparison Review

    HabibBy HabibDecember 8, 2022
Facebook Twitter Pinterest LinkedIn Tumblr Email

Chuwi introduced a new version of CoreBox, the Chuwi CoreBox 4th. Not only upgrading the Mini PC to Intel’s Alder Lake architecture, but Chuwi also equips CoreBox 4th LPDDR5 RAM and supports external graphics card enclosures thanks to Thunderbolt 4 connectivity. And before the Corebox 4th, Chuwi RZBox will hit the market, offering a mobile APU AMD Ryzen 9 4900H for a price starting at $500, which is very interesting, especially at a time when there is a desperate shortage of graphics cards. Today we will compare both of these, design-wise, performance-wise, and features-wise.

    Design

As mentioned above, the Chuwi CoreBox 4th is perfect for working from home. Besides that, its design makes it completely transportable. The CoreBox 4th, thanks to its metal and plastic parts, is made to occupy as little space as possible. Not to mention, it’s incredibly lightweight, allowing you to bring your workstation wherever you need to. The dimensions remain as compact as usual – 173 x 158 x 73mm meet a weight of 865g.

Probably the strongest aspect of the vast majority of Chuwi devices is their exceptional compactness. It is no different from the latest Chuwi RZBOX. Thanks to the dimensions of only 18.8 cm x 17.8 cm, it can be placed on even the smallest desk. However, it is not a traditional mini cube PC without design style but also a visually appealing device. The all-metal body with cooling holes and combining two dark colors take the device’s design to a completely different level.

    Hardware

Chuwi has started selling the CoreBox 4th with a Core i3-1215U, a six-core and eight-thread processor from Intel’s Alder Lake-U series. On both single- and multi-threaded tasking platforms, up to 30% faster. It is optimized for multitasking, delivering exceptional performance where you need it most. It is optimized with Intel UHD Graphics 64EUs 1.10 GHz technology, allowing you to play the latest games with the best graphic quality. It is also equipped with solid M.2 2280 PCle storage of up to 512 GB. Likewise, it implements 16 GB and 4800 Mhz LPDDR5 memory, which, added to Dual Channel technology, makes it easily multitask.

The Ryzen 7 5800H CPU has 16 threads with a peak frequency of 4.4 GHz. The associated GPU is an excellent Radeon Vega 8 GPU with a frequency of 1.75 GHz. The set allows you to consider all activities on this PC, from video editing and photo editing to 3D gaming. The RAM is 16 GB in DDR4 mounted on 2 SODIMM slots. The storage is a 512GB NVMe PCIx4 SSD. The PC offers a second NVMe slot to expand the capacity if necessary.

    Features

The Chuwi CoreBox 4th Gen is very solidly equipped with onboard interfaces. In addition to four USB-A 3.0 ports, it offers a Gigabit Ethernet connection, a DisplayPort 1.4 output, and an HDMI 2.0 output. There are also two 3.5mm ports for headphones or speakers and a microphone. What is unfortunately missing is an optical audio output. Additional USB-C ports would also have been nice but are missing, although there would still be enough space for them.

The operating system running on the Chuwi CoreBox 4th Gen is Windows 11, including a license. The Mini PC uses a WiFi 6 (AX) card for the wireless connection, which also provides Bluetooth support. Power is supplied via an open jack port. The matching power pack (65 watts at 19V / 4.74A) is, of course, included.

In terms of connectivity, Chuwi RZBOX Mini PC supports WiFi 6 as standard and Bluetooth 5.1. In addition, it complies perfectly in terms of ports because it has two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, a headphone jack, an audio port, an HDMI 2.0, a display port, a DC port, and two RJ45 Lan. In this way, many possibilities of use are given. The integrated operating system will be Windows 10 Home, with the option of updating to the latest version of Windows 11 and with support for the Portuguese language.

    Verdict

This is how the new CHUWI CoreBox 4th arrives in the industry, offering its users a friendly and compact design. Ideal if what you need is a perfect workstation or if what you are looking for is to take your video games wherever you go. If you are looking Mini PC for your office, then this is for you.

With the CHUWI RZBOX, you get a compact mini PC with modern hardware. Despite its origins in the mobile sector, the AMD Ryzen 4900H offers much performance. This makes it suitable for a wide range of tasks. The artistry is also right; it is very easy to install your RAM and SSD. You can pick the one according to your preferences. If you are looking mini PC for your room desk to play games and other stuff, then RZBox is for you.
