Windows on tablets are better than ever, something Microsoft shows off with its own Surface devices. Those tables are decidedly premium, however, meaning anyone on a budget can’t consider them. That brings us to the Chuwi Hi8 Air and Teclast X80 Pro, Chuwi Hi 8 Air Tablet PC Equipped with an 8.0 inch 10-point IPS touch display, brings your photos and videos to life. Windows 10 + Android 5.1 dual OS ensure you more wonderful user experience. Powered by Intel Cherry Trail x5-Z8350 quad-core processor, offers you smooth operation and stable multitasking experience. Rear-facing + front dual cameras for capturing memorable moments and high-quality pictures in daily life and Teclast X80 Pro Tablet PC comes with 8 inches 1920 x 1200 HD IPS screen, with 178° viewing angle, providing the colorful visual effect.Intel Cherry Trail Z8300 processor and Windows 10 Home operating system lead to a good experience and make office work more efficient. Free switch between Android and Windows, enriches all entertainment and work app inside a single portable device. We believe some users will be hard to make the decision to choose a tablet or notebook between Chuwi Hi8 Air and Teclast X80 Pro. So let’s know their comparison between Chuwi Hi8 Air and Teclast X80 Pro.

    Design

The Chuwi Hi8 Air is presented as the successor of the Chuwi Hi8 Pro but, when comparing the technical sheets of the 2 tablets, many differences are not noticed. What immediately comes to mind, however, is a redesign of the device: the Chinese company opted for a CNC-cut aluminum frame, which has a special gray/silver (and no longer white) finish, probably thinner and light than the previous model. The Hi8 Air maintains the concept of simplified appearance and eliminates the additional design elements to obtain a more flexible and compact form. The body is really compact and easy to hold with one hand. It comes with dimensions of 20.8 x 12.27 x 0.8cm and a weight of only 312g, making it relatively light, which will allow us to use it as if it were a smartphone. As for its interfaces, with respect to the previous model, the rear camera has been moved centrally and a speaker has been added at the bottom. It also comes with a micro USB port, micro HDMI, 3.5mm headphone jack and an expandable memory card slot and Teclast X80 Pro is a relatively thin and portable tablet, with a narrow bezel of 5.5 mm and dimensions of 20.80 x 12.60 x 1.00 cm. The bevels are wider at the top and bottom, while they are thinner on the sides of the device. The edges of the Teclast X80 are rounded and can be used with a detachable keyboard. It supports PC mode, which is a perfect office assistant, as well as the tablet mode for a better gaming experience. This device obviously looks elegant and beautiful, but behind its attractive cover is another aspect that also gives a nod to the device, we talk about its hardware and its internal components.

    Display

In essence, the Chuwi Hi8 Air is the same as the Chuwi Hi8 Pro technical specifications: screen capacitive IPS 8 inches with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:10. Also, the brightness of the panel is 400nits and it has 80% of the range of colors. The use of a fully laminated OGS screen makes the details of the image and color of Chuwi Hi8 Air closer to the real, as a result of fine processing of details, edges, colors and other aspects. Finally, with an improved image and a more delicate color rendering, it offers a colorful and high definition visual experience. In the section of cameras, the Chuwi Hi8 Air is a tablet that is equipped with cameras composed of 2.0-megapixel sensors in the front and back. These will allow the user to take photos and casual videos, or make video calls to share with friends or family in real time. and Teclast X80 Pro provides a quality image suitable for playing Full HD content and demanding games since its GPU is an Intel HD Graphic (Gen8). The Teclast X80 Pro comes with an 8-inch Capacitive IPS screen (5 points) with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA). Its 178-degree viewing angle gives you a clear display and a colorful effect. In the back and front, we have 2.0 MP cameras.

    Hardware

If we talk about the hardware that will make the Chuwi Hi8 Air, we have a quad-core processor based on the Intel Atom Cherry Trail x5-Z8350 with a clock frequency of 1.44 GHz (up to 1.92GHz in turbo mode). It also has a built-in graphics subsystem Intel HD Graphics @ 500MHz 8th generation, accompanied by 2GB of RAM and 32GB of memory eMMC ROM, the latter is expandable with microSD / TF cards of up to 128GB. All the above will make the visual experience much more fluid and optimal, in addition, if we attach the support of DirectX1 Special, this will make it even better and Teclast X80 Pro incorporates a Quad-Core processor Intel Cherry Trail Z8300 of 1.84 GHz, which is designed with the current technology of 14nm whose new burst frequency gets less than 2W power and performance superior to the previous generation. This is combined with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 128 GB through the external micro SD card.

    Operating System

The Chuwi Hi8 Air will run with two operating systems configured for dual boot, the choice of use is depending on the user’s requirements. On the one hand, it comes with Windows 10 for users who use the tablet for work and productive applications; and Android 5.1 to take advantage of the thousands of applications in the Play Store, where we will find games and perform lighter activities such as browsing the Internet or watching some videos on YouTube and Teclast X80 Pro is compatible with the Dual Boot function. It comes with the built-in Windows 10 and Android 5.1 Lollipop operating systems. Therefore, you can start Windows 10 Home or Android 5.1, plus a detail that we should note is that you should not expect new updates for Android so fast since Teclast is generally slow with software updates.

    Connectivity and Battery

If we talk about Chuwi Hi8 Air connectivity, we can mention that it mainly includes a Bluetooth 4.0 module and WiFi 802.11 in the b / g / n bands with a 2.4GHz network support. As we discussed earlier, it comes with a micro USB jack that will serve, mostly, as a charging port, a micro HDMI for video output (1080p) on an external display and a 3.5 mm audio connector for daily use of headphones. In turn, it has OTG function, which facilitates the connection with other devices. For its part, the package brings us a Bluetooth keyboard that will turn the tablet into a small notebook if we need it. the Hi8 Air comes equipped with a high capacity 4000mAh lithium polymer battery. So there is no need to worry about the duration of the energy, regardless of whether you are playing at home or traveling to a distant or nearby place. In fact, in the accessories included in the box, there is a 5V / 2A charger, which will allow the recharge of our device to be as fast as possible, and Teclast X80 Pro, you will get a new Tablet PC experience. Its HDMI output ensures that you can use an HDMI cable to connect your tablet to a TV, monitors or projectors, thus creating a spectacular home theater. The gravity sensor in this device can execute with fluidity and sensitivity several applications that require it. This tablet also comes with a built-in dual-channel speaker and supports a microphone, a Micro USB card, and a 3.5 mm headset. It uses a WiFi 802.11 / b / g / n driver to connect to the network and a Bluetooth 4.0 module for the fast transfer of multimedia data. It has a lithium polymer battery of 3800 mAh, which is designed with an intelligent management of the DPTE battery and has a low power technology determined by Windows, thanks to these features, the X80 Pro can achieve a long working time.
