Pop-up camera design is a trend in the smartphone market, as you can see the design was adopted by almost all of the first-line brands like Samsung, HUAWEI, OPPO, Vivo and Xiaomi. And this kind of supplier resources is tightly controlled by those big brands in China and that means others are hard to acquire. Chinese phone maker ELEPHONE is really close to release a new device inspired by the previously launched ELEPHONE U2. The handset is called ELEPHONE PX and it will feature a pop-up camera along with slightly less powerful specs. Today, the company released a couple of photos of the three variants that will be available. We have the Blue-Purple gradient, Purple gradient, and Blue gradient.

Let’s start with the front camera, clearly a pop-up camera just like U2, but this time only one sensor. The pop-up camera also means the phone will sport a full-screen design. There won’t be any notches, screen holes, and whatnot. A trendy design choice we ‘ve seen also on handsets from Samsung, HUAWEI, OPPO, Vivo and Xiaomi. ELEPHONE also talked about it being a more affordable device, so don’t expect any high-end hardware. Just solid entry to mid-level specs for a very good looking phone.

The Elephone PX has a total of four camera sensors. It uses a 16-megapixel dual camera with two LEDs and advanced brightness and noise control on the back. The double front camera is hidden inside the smartphone. You have never seen such a front camera. The PX camera slides out of the top of the cell phone and thus takes up no valuable space on the screen. The smartphone can also be unlocked via face recognition. A safer alternative is the fingerprint sensor on the back.

The display without notch of Elephone PX has an HD + resolution. The Android phone is powered by an Helio P22 octa-core chipset with a clock frequency of up to 2.0 GHz. The processor is supported by 4 GB RAM and 64 GB expandable onboard memory. The internal memory can be extended by an additional 128 GB with a microSD memory card.
