Yesterday we wrote that the company Elephone is working on an Elephone U2 Pro flagship Android smartphone with a Pop-Up camera. The case, apparently, is moving toward the official premiere, and the first public display of this model will take place this week at the Hong Kong Technology Expo 2018 exhibition. But it turned out that Elephone will bring not only one but three smartphones with retractable cameras to the event.
Today we got a small leaked video of the Elephone U2 and Elephone PX smartphones. Both devices are still testing before shipping, for the HongKong exhibition. Elephone U2 offers similar groundbreaking features as U2 Pro in a stunning panoramic design but will be more affordable thanks to a clever mix of components. Elephone PX is other new large, full-screen smartphone with the cutting-edge panoramic design. Both the PX and Elephone U2 will feature Elephone’s all-new ‘stealth camera’ technology which keeps the selfie cameras safely out of the way when not in use.
Elephone U2 Pro is apparently going to be using the pop-up camera both for selfies and the rear one, so all four sensors will be placed on one pop-up module. Aside from that, it will be featuring under screen fingerprint scanner and probably more powerful hardware than the normal Elephone U2, which is penciled in with Helio P60.
The pop-up camera seems to be a recurring trend with the new Elephone models because also the Elephone PX will have it for the selfie dual cams. Elephone PX, on the other hand, looks much more midrange, at least if we would take a guess thanks to the revealed HD+ resolution of the full-screen 6,34-inch display. No word about the hardware yet, but the main gimmick will also be the pop-up camera, this time only for the dual selfie sensors.
