    1. What Is ISACA?

    A: With more than 100,000 members in more than 140 countries, ISACA is recognized as a global leader in IT management, control, security and assurance. The organization was established in 1969, mainly responsible for hosting international conferences and publishing, information system control journals, developing international information system inspection and control standards, responsible for CISA, CISM COBIT and CGEIT certification.

    2. In What Cases Is CISA Certification Appropriate?

    Answer: CISA certification is applicable to information system audit, information consulting, information system management, general work in the enterprise internal audit or information center, management consulting companies or large firms, information security vendors or service providers, focused on the dependence on the informationization degree is higher, risky industries, such as the financial securities industry.

    3. What Are the Computer or Audit Requirements for CISA Certification?

    A: For auditors, the CISA exam simply replaces the audit environment with an information system environment. The concept and method of audit are the same, the core of which is to understand more information technology. Information technology is not required to be proficient in the auditor, the relatively simple test. On the other hand, if there is a foundation in computer science, emphasis can be placed on the audit part, especially on the cultivation of internal audit philosophy and way of thinking.

    A: As of July 2013, ISACA{ read this } was officially released. After 35 years of development, the number of CISA holders worldwide will have exceeded 100,000, and the number of valid CISA holders in China is 2,151.

    5. What Is the Difference Between CISA Members and Non-members?

    A: There is no limit to membership. You only need to pay the first registration fee: the official membership fee, the Hong Kong branch membership fee (US $215), and then pay the annual membership fee every year after that to keep your ISACA membership.

    The differences between members and non-members are as follows:

    Members:

    1 hour lecture (CISA Basic Introduction) held in Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Nanjing three times a year (June, September and December);

    Some information can be downloaded free of charge in the official (note: examination books, teaching materials and exercises need to buy);

    Members can participate in official activities to earn CPE(activities, problems, etc.);

    There is a discount for ordering official books.

    Non-member:

    None of the above.

    6. What Is the Main Content of CISA [find here]?

    A: There are five main parts, namely:

    (1) Information systems audit processes (14%): to provide audit services in compliance with IT audit standards to help organizations protect and control their information systems (2)IT governance and management (14%): to ensure that the necessary leadership, organizational structure and processes are in place to achieve relevant goals and support organizational strategy

    (3) Information systems acquisition, development and implementation (19%): used to ensure that the acquisition, development, testing and implementation of information systems are consistent with the organization’s strategies and objectives

    (4) Operation, maintenance and support of information systems (23%): to ensure that the operation, maintenance and support processes of information systems are in line with the organization’s strategy and goals

    (5) Protection of information assets (30%): to ensure that the organization’s security policies, standards, procedures and controls ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information assets

    7. How Many CISA Exams Are There Each Year? What Place Is Domestic Examination Site Respectively?

    A: Since 2013, CISA has been administered three times a year, in June, September and December, on the Saturday of the second week of the month. The test time is from 9:00 to 13:00 (usually in September CISA test center: Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen (no Nanjing and Guangzhou)). The test sites are Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Nanjing.

    8. Are There Any Qualification Requirements for CISA Certification?

    A: There is no requirement to take the exam, but if you apply for the certificate after passing the exam, you need to meet the working experience requirement in order to obtain the CISA certificate.

    9. How many subjects will be tested in CISA and how many questions will be asked in each subject?

    A: The CISA test is a single subject, consisting of 200 multiple-choice questions. There may be two or more correct answers, and you only have to choose one of the answers you think is best.

    10. What is the total score of CISA?

    A: There are 800 points in total, and a pass of 450 is a proportional score. For example, a proportional score of 800 means full marks and all questions are answered correctly. A scale score of 200 is the lowest score, indicating that only a few of the questions were answered correctly. Candidates must achieve a score of 450 or higher to pass the exam.450 represents the minimum uniform knowledge standard established by ISACA ‘s CISA accrediting committee.

    11. Language Choice for the CISA Test?

    A: ISACA has provided simplified Chinese characters test papers since December 2007, and ISACA has provided simplified Chinese characters test materials since March 2011. When registering, candidates can choose their favorite or familiar language, including simplified Chinese, traditional Chinese, English, French, German, Spanish, Dutch, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Hebrew, 11 test languages.

    12. How can I obtain the admission ticket for CISA?

    A: Two to three weeks before the CISA test, candidates will receive a written and electronic admission ticket from ISACA or a printed admission ticket from the website. The admission ticket indicates the date of the test, the time of registration and the test location, the schedule for the day, and the materials that must be brought with you to take the CISA test. Candidates can enter the examination room with the printed electronic admission ticket or the original admission ticket. Candidates should not write on the admission ticket unless their contact information has been changed.

    13. Can I Get a Refund or Postpone the Test If There Is No Time for Me to Register for CISA?

    A: You can get a refund or postpone the test. Applicants who are unable to take the examination may request a refund of the registration fee before the specified date. A $100 handling fee will be deducted for the refund. Candidates may also choose to postpone the test date to a later test date before the specified date. Deferred fees vary according to the time of application for deferment. Study materials and associated taxes, postage, handling fees or membership fees are not refundable or exchangeable. Registration and membership fees are non-transferable.

    14. How Should I Choose CISA Learning Materials?

    A: It is recommended to use the “2015 CISA Review Manual” published by ISACA in the tutorial book, which is updated every year.

    15. Is CISA Written or Computer Based?

    A: there is no computer test at present, it is still the way of writing the answer card for the written test.

    16. How Are the CISA Scores Published?

    A: About four to eight weeks from the test date, you will be notified by mail of your official test scores. In addition, if the candidate agrees during the registration process, we can also send the candidate an email with the pass/fail status and the test score.

    17. How Do the Authorities Review Eligibility After Registration for CISA?

    A: After passing the exam, ISACA will select 5-10% of the applicants globally for review by sending an email to the signatories of the work experience certificate after passing the exam to confirm the relevant information.

    18. Do You Have to Have Work Experience in CISA(auditing) to Get the Certificate?

    A: ISACA requires experience in IT auditing, security, and forensics. The highest degree or professional or university lecturer qualification can offset up to two years of experience. The range is wide.

    19. How difficult is CISA?

    A: CISA is an international test, Chinese or English or other languages, for CISA is just an increase in the number of test languages, the difficulty does not decrease. You cannot say that as long as international attestation had Chinese language examination content is low. The purpose of the certification exam, one is to learn, one is to take the certificate, do not want to take which certificate can have how good work. Difficulty varies from person to person, but overall feedback is not difficult. The official pass rate is around 45%, so it must be no problem as long as you are willing to learn.
