Igeekphone News, June 17th: The technology media Android Headline published a blog post yesterday (June 16th), reporting that Google will follow the market trend and introduce Tele-Macro to the Pixel 10 series of mobile phones, using tele-macro sensors for macro photography.
Igeekphone Note: Tele-Macro refers to macro photography achieved through telephoto sensors. Compared with traditional ultra-wide-angle sensors, telephoto lenses have superior optical quality.
As early as on the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Samsung attempted this technology, but gave up after only one year. However, this year, OPPO Find N5 was the first to return to this function. OnePlus 13, although not heavily promoted, also supports Tele-Macro, and more brands are about to follow suit.
The advantage of telephoto macro is that users can maintain a greater distance from the subject being photographed. It is suitable for shooting sensitive subjects such as insects and also avoids the camera or the photographer blocking the light, thereby improving the picture quality.
It is reported that Google plans to introduce the telephoto macro function on the Pixel 10. However, unlike other brand manufacturers, the Pixel 10 has not abandoned the macro function of the ultra-wide-angle sensor. Instead, it intelligently switches the lens according to the shooting distance.
Igeekphone previously reported that it is said that the Pixel 10 series will be announced and pre-orders will open at the “Made by Google” event to be held on August 20th. The official release date is set for August 28th, which is one week later than the release date of the Pixel 9 series last year (August 13th).
