Honor Magic 5 Pro vs Xiaomi Mi 13 Pro: A Head-to-Head Comparison

Facebook Twitter Pinterest LinkedIn Tumblr Email

Honor Magic 5 Pro and Xiaomi Mi 13 Pro stand out as representative choices for high-end flagship models. To make a decision, it’s essential to consider individual usage habits. If you prefer the MIUI design style and value higher specifications, the Mi 13 Pro is worth considering. On the other hand, the Honor Magic5 Pro caters more to those loyal to Huawei’s high-end devices in the past.

    Display

The Mi 13 Pro boasts a 6.73-inch curved screen made of Samsung E6. It supports 1.07 billion colors, LTPO, and DC dimming and offers a resolution 3200X1440. It presents a flagship screen with standard specifications.

On the other hand, the Honor Magic 5 Pro sports a superior 6.81-inch quad-curved screen, providing an enhanced look and feel. With support for 1.07 billion colors, LTPO, a resolution of 2848 × 1312, and 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, this phone offers a remarkable visual experience. The Magic5 Pro’s screen is more eye-friendly, and its four-curved surface design enhances its aesthetic appeal.

    Hardware

Both models feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 8Gen2 processors, which numerous domestic models have extensively tested. The chip’s performance and power consumption are impressive, supporting the flagship status of these phones. Whether it’s daily usage or gaming, both devices deliver excellent performance.

    Camera

The Honor Magic 5 Pro and Mi 13 Pro excel in image performance. The Mi 13 Pro features a 32-megapixel high-definition selfie camera and a rear camera setup that includes a one-inch primary camera equipped with a Sony IMX989 sensor, a 50-megapixel wide-angle lens, and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens. The primary camera’s specifications push the boundaries of current technology. Moreover, the Mi 13 Pro incorporates the Xiaomi imaging brain and a brand-new Leica native dual image quality, resulting in vibrant colors and stunning urban street shots. This combination particularly appeals to users with photography expertise, allowing them to capture extraordinary moments effortlessly.

The Honor Magic5 Pro boasts a front 12-megapixel camera and a 3D deep-sensing lens, enabling accurate 3D face modeling and enhancing facial unlocking security. On the rear, it houses three 50-megapixel lenses, with the primary camera reaching a size of 1/1.12″ despite not being one inch. This larger size allows for ample light input. The Honor Hawkeye camera algorithm enhances the phone’s capturing capabilities, making it exceptionally powerful.

    Battery

The Mi 13 Pro has a built-in 4820mAh battery that supports 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Its battery life and charging speed strike a balanced approach. On the other hand, the Honor Magic5 Pro features a larger 5450mAh battery, which is unique among flagship models. Thanks to the Qinghai Lake battery’s ultra-thin design and ultra-high space utilization, the Magic5 Pro maximizes its battery capacity. However, it only supports 66W wired and 50W wireless charging, slightly lower than the Mi 13 Pro’s capabilities.

    Conclusion

The Honor Magic 5 Pro is an excellent choice for high-end Huawei users seeking a replacement device. On the other hand, the Xiaomi Mi 13 Pro offers higher overall specifications, a good user experience, and a solid reputation, making it a more cost-effective option.
