Huawei Mate 50 Pro is officially announced. This phone carries god-class specifications so that it will be a big rival to the iPhone 14 which was announced tonight.
The Mate 50 Pro features a screen with curved edges. The panel used is an OLED type measuring 6.74 inches with Full HD + resolution. Huawei provides support for 1.07 billion colors, P3 wide color gamut, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a 300Hz touch sampling rate.
But the funny thing is, when Apple tried to eliminate the notch on the iPhone 14 Pro, Huawei instead adopted bangs like the iPhone 13. There was a 13MP ultra-wide camera, a 3D Depth camera, and LED Flash installed.
Although there are no Leica frills, the rear camera specifications Huawei Mate 50 Pro are still very tempting. Huawei has paired a 50MP main camera with six aperture options. Then there is a 13MP ultra-wide camera that supports macro shooting. And a 64MP periscope lens featuring RYYB color matrix and OIS offers 200X super zoom capability.
To deal with the iPhone 14, of course, you need a capable kitchen runway. That’s why Huawei has capitalized on it with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 combined with 8GB of RAM. There are two choices of internal memory provided, namely 256GB and 512GB.
The battery embedded in it has a capacity of 4460mAh. If it runs out it can be quickly charged thanks to the 66W fast charging feature with cable and 50W wireless. It’s just that this phone doesn’t support 5G yet. Even so, Huawei provides support for satellite communication technology. This feature allows users to communicate even without cellular network coverage.
This device already runs the recently announced Harmony OS 3 operating system. The Mate 50 Pro features an on-screen fingerprint sensor, 3D facial recognition, stereo speakers, and IP68 for water and dust resistance.
Huawei has opened orders for the Huawei Mate 50 Pro in China with prices starting at 6,799 yuan (about $976). In addition, Huawei has opened orders for the Mate 50, Mate 50E, and Mate 50 Pro RS Porsche Design.
