Huawei Mate X Will Begin to be Sold In China on November 15

After months of submission and various postponements, Huawei finally made the Mate X market debut yesterday October 23rd. For now, the company has limited its availability to the Chinese market only. The device will go on sale in China next month, and in a few months, it will gain a brother – Huawei Mate Xs.

Huawei Mate X will visit Chinese stores on November 15, and its price will be 16999 yuan (about $2405). For now, there is no information about the distribution of this model in other countries – remember that there are rumors (unconfirmed!) Suggesting that finally this model cannot be equipped with the Google services package, which can significantly discourage buyers.

The Huawei Mate X has an 8-inch OLED screen when opened. This screen has an 8: 7.1 aspect ratio, 2480 x 2200 resolution. When folded, Mate X will have 2 front and back screens. In particular, the previous screen has a size of 6.6 inches 19.5: 9, a resolution of 2480 x 1148 pixels. The following screen is 6.4 inches with a 25: 9 aspect ratio, 2480 x 892-pixel resolution.

About configuration, Mate X is equipped with Kirin 980 processor, 8GB RAM, and 512GB ROM, built-in microSD card slot. In particular, Mate X owns 5G Huawei Balong 5000 5G chip built on the 7nm process. It has 2 SIM slots (one SIM supports from 2G to 5G network and the second SIM supports 2G, 3G, 4G).

The bezel on the side of the screen is where the Mate X has a cluster of 3 cameras including a 40MP camera with a wide-angle lens, a 16MP camera with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and an 8MP camera with a telephoto lens.

The total battery capacity of Mate X is 4500mAh. Notably, the Mate X integrates the Huawei SuperCharge fast charging feature with a capacity of up to 55W which allows charging 85% of capacity in just 30 minutes.

At the same time, Huawei announced a new variant of the foldable smartphone, Mate Xs. This model will be equipped with a Kirin 990 processor with an integrated 5G modem – while the first model introduced in November has a Kirin 980 processor and a separate 5G Balong 5000 modem. The exact release date of the new Mate Xs has not been specified – but it was announced for 2020.
