Hidden cameras are slowly becoming another trend in smartphones. The objective is to be able to offer a screen that takes advantage of the entire front of the terminal with a minimum of bevels or notches. Huawei is the latest to sign up for a design that other manufacturers have already used, including its Honor brand.
Huawei P Smart Z is a new smartphone for the mid-range that stands out for including an emerging front camera Or retractable. Filtered by @evleaks, it would be Huawei’s first smartphone with this type of design.
The new render shows that the design of the Huawei P Smart Z has three attractive features. Firstly, it is equipped with a large display without a notch. This allows the phone to offer a very high screen-to-body ratio. Secondly, it is equipped with a pop-up selfie camera. Finally, the P Smart Z back panel has a two-color design, like Google Pixel phones.
Huawei P Smart Z has a huge 6.59-inch screen with a native resolution of 2359 × 1080 pixels, surrounded by minimal bevels and a relatively thin notch considering its mid-range nature. The design has a small mechanism that houses the emerging 16MP front camera that protrudes from behind the terminal when its use is necessary. It will taste more or less, but it is an alternative to both ‘notch’. On the back, it offers a dual sensor system of 16MP + 2MP for the main camera.
Regarding internal specifications, the Huawei P Smart Z will have a Kirin 710 SoC own company, accompanied by 4GB of RAM and 64GB for internal storage, expandable with microSD cards of 512GB. The terminal maintains the 3.5 mm headphone jack and has a good capacity battery: 4000mAh.
It will preinstall the latest stable Android 9 Pie version and the manufacturer’s custom layer, EMUI 9.1. With three color finishes, black, blue and gray, would be available in May with a price in the surroundings of $250.
Huawei P Smart Z will be Huawei’s first smartphone with an emerging camera in a strategy we believe successful from the manufacturer to check its acceptance before using or not using these types of designs in more important models.
