Huawei P30 Pro Will Support 3D Structure Light Function In the Water-Drop Screen


Huawei has scheduled the launch of its upcoming P series smartphones in Paris, France on the March 26. The Huawei P series is claimed to include three devices, namely P30, P30 Pro and P30 Lite. The design of these Huawei P Series smartphones has already been revealed through some leaked images. It is doubtful whether the series supports 3D structured light.

According to some sources, although the Huawei P30 Pro uses a water-drop screen design, this model still supports structured light face recognition. Earlier, the same digital chat station from Weibo said that the top of the Huawei P30 Pro will be equipped with 6 visible holes, including hidden earpieces, breathing lights, front lenses, etc. It includes the sensors needed to achieve 3D structured light. As for which of these messages are true and false, they may have to be announced on March 26.

Huawei P30 Pro will be equipped with a water-drop screen, but will support 3D structured light, and is expected to become the world’s first manufacturer to implement the water-screen technology. However, for the zoom technology, he said that the Huawei P30 Pro may support 10x hybrid zoom and 5x optical zoom. According to the news, the P30 Pro will carry the new 38MP IMX607 sensor of Sony with a four-camera solution and possibly a periscope camera.

The codenames for the P30, P30 Pro and P30 Lite are respectively Vogue, Elle, and Marie Claire. As per the UAProfs of the devices, the P30 and the P30 Pro will have the support of full HD+ resolution (1,080 x 2,340 pixels), while as per previous reports, the P30 Lite will feature 1,080 x 2,312-pixel display resolution. Three of the devices will run Android v9.0 (Pie) out-of-the-box.

According to sources, the P30 is equipped with a 6.1-inch OLED display. The overall size is close to P20, and the 3.5mm headphone jack is retained. The Huawei P30 Pro is equipped with a 6.5-inch OLED display. The overall size is close to the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. In addition, the P30 will be equipped with a 22.5w fast charge, and the P30 Pro is expected to be equipped with a 40w super fast charge.
