Igeekphone News on November 26th: Apple’s first foldable iPhone Fold is expected to be released in the autumn of 2026 along with the iPhone 18 Pro series. This device has three core selling points.
24-megapixel front camera
According to a research report released by jpmorgan Chase, the iPhone Fold is equipped with the industry’s first 24-megapixel under-display camera. This is not only Apple’s first true full-screen iPhone, but also surpasses the Android camp.
Previously, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 used a 4-megapixel under-display front camera on the inner screen. The latest Galaxy Z Fold7 has removed the under-display front camera and adopted the mainstream punch-hole screen solution. If the leak is true, it indicates that Apple has made a major breakthrough in light transmittance and image clarity that other manufacturers have yet to achieve.

No creases
All signs indicate that Apple has solved the crease problem that has plagued most foldable phones. It is reported that the iPhone Fold will become the first foldable device without creases on the market.
Battery
The iPhone Fold will adopt a high-density battery. Currently, Apple is testing a battery capacity of 5400-5800 mah, which means it becomes the iPhone with the largest battery capacity ever, surpassing the 5088 mah of the iPhone 17 Pro Max. By contrast, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is equipped with a 4400 mah battery, while the Google Pixel Fold has a 4821 mah battery.
In terms of core configuration, the iPhone Fold will be equipped with a 7.8-inch inner screen and a 5.5-inch outer screen. It supports Touch ID but not Face ID. There are four cameras in total, including an outer front camera (punch-hole form), an inner front camera (adopting an under-display solution, true full-screen form), and a 48-megapixel dual rear camera.
In terms of price, the iPhone Fold is priced between $2,000 and $2,500 in the United States and is expected to become the most expensive iPhone ever.
