Igeekphone reported on June 4th that the blogger Digital Chat Station hinted that the screen size of the Xiaomi 16 is between 6.3 and 6.4 inches, and its battery capacity is around 7000mAh. This is the model with the largest battery in the Xiaomi Digital series.
Compared with the 5400mAh battery of the Xiaomi 15, the battery capacity of the Xiaomi 16 has increased by approximately 1600mAh, and its battery life performance will be significantly improved.
In addition, the Xiaomi 16 is the world’s first to launch the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor. This chip adopts TSMC’s third-generation 3nm process N3P. Under the same power consumption, the N3P process can improve performance by 4%. Under the same main frequency, its power consumption is reduced by 9%, and the overall transistor density is increased by 4%.
In terms of core configuration, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 adopts the second-generation self-developed CPU architecture. The GPU independent cache has been increased from 12MB to 16MB, with a performance improvement of about 30%. The NPU example has reached 100TPOS, and the AI performance has been significantly enhanced.
It is worth noting that the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 supports sunlit screens at the hardware level, which means that the screen brightness of the new generation of flagships will be significantly enhanced, and the screen experience in strong outdoor light will be better.
The Xiaomi 16 equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip is expected to debut as early as September.
