Igeekphone News, September 2nd: Source Evan Blass posted a series of tweets on the X platform yesterday (September 1st), sharing more promotional materials of Lenovo Legion Go 2 and further revealing the hardware details and accessory information of this game handheld console.
In terms of the screen, the Legion Go 2 is equipped with an 8.8-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2560×1600 (16:10 aspect ratio), supporting a 144Hz variable refresh rate, 10-point touch, 500 nits brightness, and covering 97% of the DCI-P3 color gamut Meanwhile, certified by VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1000.
In terms of chips, this handheld console will offer two processor options: AMD Ryzen Z2 and Ryzen Z2 Extreme. It supports up to 2TB MicroSD expansion and is equipped with dual USB4 Type-C interfaces.
In terms of heat dissipation, this handheld console adopts Lenovo’s Legion Coldfront cooling technology, equipped with a larger fan and expanded air intakes and outlets. Users can also manually control the fan speed.
In terms of battery, the Legion Go 2 adopts a split 74Wh dual-cell design and comes standard with a 65W power adapter. However, when connected to a higher-power charger, it can achieve faster charging.
Lenovo redesigned the controller section to make the grip more comfortable for players and confirmed compatibility with the original Legion Go. In addition, in the pictures shared by the source, it is shown that the side of the new controller seems to have added a USB-C interface, which is expected to enable independent charging.
In other respects, this handheld console has moved the MicroSD card slot and audio interface from the top to the bottom and is equipped with a fingerprint recognition power button. Lenovo will also launch a canvas portable bag with padding inside for protection.
