Lenovo Motorola released the Moto G71, G51, G41, and G31 mobile phones, and now a new cycle has begun. The Lenovo Moto G52 was officially launched earlier this month, and now whistleblower Evan Blass has shared some details about the G52 phone.
The Motorola Moto G52 doesn’t sound like a successor to the Moto G51 5G. First, it doesn’t support 5G. In fact, the phone is more like an updated Moto G41.
The Moto G52 phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 680, a 6nm modified version of the Snapdragon 662. This is actually not as good as the performance of the Snapdragon 480+ inside the G51 5G – it has Cortex-A73/A53 derived cores (compared to A76/A55) and Adreno 610 (compared to 619), plus only a 4G modem. The only downside to the Snapdragon 480+ is that the 8nm process used is older and less efficient.
The Lenovo Moto G52 phone also comes with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 128 or 256GB of storage and runs Android 12 pre-installed. The Moto G52 phone will be equipped with a 6.55-inch P-OLED display with a resolution of FHD+ and a refresh rate of 90Hz. There is a hole-punch built-in 16-megapixel selfie camera. This is in line with the Moto G51 5G phone with a 6.8-inch 120Hz IPS LCD screen.
In terms of cameras, the Moto G52 includes a 50-megapixel main camera on the back, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2-megapixel depth-sensing camera.
Finally, the Moto G52 phone will have a 5000mAh battery (no word on fast charging yet). The fuselage is rated IP52 for dust and splash resistance, and according to the pictures, the phone also has stereo speakers.
