Igeekphone reported on January 5th that LG Display has announced that it will showcase a range of cutting-edge OLED technologies for automotive applications at the CES exhibition in 2026. These include a 33-inch flexible curved OLED panel and a 51-inch “pillar to pillar” ultra-wide OLED panel.
It is introduced that this 33-inch flexible curved OLED panel adopts a concept similar to that of “scrolling screen mobile phones”, using P-OLED technology to enable certain areas of the panel to be curled into the interior of the front passenger seat with a curvature of 30R (radius approximately 3 centimeters). For example, during vehicle operation, users can use the small-sized screen to display basic functions such as navigation. When the vehicle is in autonomous driving mode or parked, the screen can expand to a 33-inch large size, providing a richer information and entertainment experience.

LG Display also made its first public appearance of a 51-inch “pillar-to-pillar” panel. The term “pillar-to-pillar” refers to the display spanning the A-pillars and other vertical structural elements of the vehicle body, achieving a truly seamless ultra-wide display.

In addition, LG Display also announced that it will showcase transparent displays based on Micro LED and large-sized OLED panels with peak brightness up to 4500 nits at CES 2026. It also disclosed that starting from 2026, several OLED TV/monitor panels under LG Display’s brand will upgrade to a four-layer stacked light-emitting technology and introduce processing solutions for absorbing and dispersing light, achieving higher brightness.
