iGEEKPHONE News on August 6th: Previously, Lu Weibing, the president of Xiaomi Group, stated that over the past four years, Xiaomi and Leica have collaborated on more than 20 models, which has been very pleasant and highly effective. Xiaomi and Leica have been and will continue to be close partners. I am very confident that the Xiaomi 16 Ultra will reach a new height in mobile imaging. Stay tuned.

Today, the blogger Digital Chat Station revealed that the hardware upgrade of the Xiaomi 16 Ultra’s imaging system is indeed quite obvious. The main upgrades include the front camera, main camera, and telephoto lens. The engineering models we have found so far are mainly made of fiberglass, emphasizing lightness and thinness. The front features a large R-angle and straight screen, with four equal sides that are very narrow.
It is reported that the Xiaomi 16 Ultra will adopt a 2K straight screen, be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 flagship platform, and is expected to be equipped with a Leica quad-camera system. It will also come standard with wireless and wired fast charging, water resistance, and a large-capacity battery, etc.
It is worth noting that the cooperation between Xiaomi and Leica will become more in-depth. The two sides will enhance the optical performance and photography experience in the mobile imaging era through technological breakthroughs in areas such as lens optics, chips, and algorithms.
