During today’s official presentation event, Meizu illustrated the new flagship range for this 2018. Meizu 15 is the mid/high-end smartphone, straddling 15 Lite and 15 Plus. Here’s everything you need to know about the technical data, Price and release date.
Even if it integrates the same form factor of the Lite version, Meizu 15 can boast the presence of an AMOLED display, also with DCI P3 profile. This is a 5.46-inch Full HD drive, always in 16: 9. Remaining on the front stands the sensor ID, implemented in the lower frame and with shapes that recall the past (as well as the Apple world).
The front button integrates the mEngine system to simulate a realistic vibration and integrates various gestures. In case we do not want to use them, we can select the keys on the screen. The frames are rather bulky but, in addition to the fingerprint reader, they also offer stereo speakers for the use of multimedia content (and more). Present USB Type-C port and mini-jack input.
Inside the shell, there is a rather inviting configuration. In fact, we find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, with Kryo 260 octa-core processor up to 2.2 GHz. The graphics part is entrusted to the Adreno 512 GPU, assisted by 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64/128 GB of non-expandable memory.
There is also a 3000mAh battery with mCharge fast charge and Android 7.1.2 Nougat operating system. Unfortunately, no Oreo, but at least the renewed proprietary interface Flyme 7 was presented. Another new feature is the implementation of a dual camera on the rear.
Let’s talk about sensors of Sony IMX380 + IMX350 12MP + 20MP with 3X zoom and f / 1.8 aperture, 1.55 μm pixel, OIS stabilization and the iconic LED flash ring. The selfie camera, on the other hand, remains a single 20MP sensor. Both photo modules have features such as Portrait, Scene Recognition and AI options.

The Meizu 15 will be available in 4 colors, or Brushed Black, Brushed Gold, Brushed Blue and Ceramic White. The launch price of Meizu 15 is 2499/2799 yuan, about 397/444 dollars, for the 4/64 GB and 4/128 GB variants, MEIZU 15 Plus price is 2999/3299 yuan, about 476/524 dollars, for the 6/64 GB and 6/128 GB variants.
