Meizu Unveils 20/Pro: Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and BOE Q9 Screen

On April 3rd, Meizu, the Chinese consumer electronics company, released its latest flagship smartphone, the Meizu 20 series, with three significant versions – the Meizu 20, Meizu20 Pro, and Meizu20 Infinity Unbound Edition. This series boasts powerful features, sleek design, and innovative technology, making it a good device for smartphone enthusiasts.  The Meizu 20 comes with three storage options – 12+128GB, 12+256GB, and 12+512GB, priced at 2999 yuan, 3399 yuan, and 3799 yuan, respectively. On the other hand, the Meizu20 Pro offers the same storage options as the Meizu20, but at a higher price point – 3999 yuan, 4399 yuan, and 4799 yuan, respectively. Lastly, the Meizu20 Infinity Unbound Edition offers 12+256GB and 12+512GB options, priced at 6299 yuan and 7299 yuan, respectively. It also provides a massive 16GB+1TB storage option, priced at 8499 yuan.

Moving on to the phone’s features, the Meizu 20 series boasts a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile processing platform, LPDDR5X memory, and UFS 4.0 flash memory, ensuring high performance and fast processing speed. The phones also feature a 6.79-inch 3192×1368 BOE Q9 OLED flexible straight screen with a peak brightness of 1850nit, HDR10/10+ certification, and support for 120Hz refresh rate (LTPO), 480Hz touch sampling rate, 10 Bit color depth, and 1920Hz PWM dimming. Furthermore, the phones offer a four-sided equal narrowness display, increasing the screen-to-body ratio.

The Meizu20 series also boasts a powerful camera setup, with a front 32MP camera and a triple rear camera – 50MP primary camera (OIS) + 12MP ultra-wide-angle + 12MP telephoto, along with dToF laser focus and sapphire glass lens. The phones also come with a range of other features such as an ultra-lightweight stainless steel middle frame, Ultrasonic mTouch ultrasonic fingerprint 2.0, X-axis linear motor, dual “Super” linear speakers, “Ice World” frame cooling technology, unbounded antenna system, and support for NFC and infrared remote control. Additionally, the phones are equipped with the Flyme 10 system and feature double-sided Meizu Titan glass.

As of now, the battery life of the Meizu 20 series is unknown. However, considering the high-end features and specifications, it is expected to offer a long-lasting battery life.
