OnePlus smartphones are popular for many things and one of them is the battery charging speed. The company currently offers a charging speed of 30W and recently the brand has made no significant improvement in charging speeds. A new OnePlus 65W charger was recently spotted at a certification site, and the next OnePlus flagship product could include this new charger.
A Mysmartprice report obtained details of TUV Rheinland’s OnePlus 65W charger, a certification platform. The report was released by TUV Rheinland in Japan with “Power Supply” as the product name. It also reveals the charger’s input and output, as well as the OnePlus brand.
The OnePlus 65W charger has an output power of 65W (10V / 6.5A) compared to the current 30W (5V / 6A) fast charge Warp 30T charge found in the OnePlus 8 series The input is indicated at 100-240 VAC. Additionally, the listing reveals model numbers VCA7JAyH, WC1007Am1JH, and S065AGz. The maximum charger output will be set to 65W.
Note that the sister brand Oppo already offers 65W Super VOOC charging on several of its models ( Oppo Reno Ace in particular) and it, therefore, makes sense to wait for OnePlus in this field. The question remains whether this charging power will be offered this year on an OnePlus 8T / 8T Pro or next year for the next generation OnePlus 9.
