OnePlus 6 is speculated to arrive by the end of second quarter of this year. A recent report had claimed that after launching the OnePlus 6, the company may also announce a new mid-range phone called OnePlus X2. It was speculated that the handset would be arriving as a successor for the first and only OnePlus mid-range phone named OnePlus X that was launched in 2015. However, the rumors surrounding the OnePlus X2 have been quashed by none other than OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei.

On Twitter, Pei clearly stated that the by saying that it is nothing but fake news. Hence, it is quite clear now that the OnePlus X2 does not exist. However, the rumor mill had claimed that the OnePlus X2 would be featuring a 5.5-inch 16:9 aspect ratio display and it would be powered by Snapdragon 835 chipset and 4 GB of RAM. The X2 was also speculated to arrive with 32 GB / 64 GB storage options, 16-megapixel front camera and 3,000 mAh battery.
So the next OnePlus phone to vouch for is the OnePlus 6 that is speculated to arrive with FHD+ resolution supporting 18:9 display and Snapdragon 845 chipset. There is no information available on the launch date of the OnePlus 6. However, it is speculated to get unveiled by June this year. More details of the upcoming flagship killer phone are expected to surface in the coming months.
