OXVA recently sent over their latest devices for testing, and the XLIM 3 Ultra is the one I’ve spent the most time with over the past week. The XLIM series has grown rapidly over the years, and it’s become one of OXVA’s most recognizable product lines. The Ultra version continues that momentum with a stronger battery, a sharper display, and several refinements aimed at delivering steadier performance and more control over the vape experience.

The moment I picked it up, it felt like a natural continuation of the XLIM lineup—familiar enough for existing users, but clearly upgraded in all the right places.
Design
The XLIM 3 Ultra sticks to the sleek, flattened pen-style shape the XLIM family is known for, but the build feels more polished. It has a comfortable, rounded finish that sits nicely in the hand, and the front-facing 1.05-inch HD display is bright enough to read outdoors without any effort. Above the screen is the multi-function button, and below it, a small LED indicator you can customize or disable depending on your preference.
One detail I appreciated is the horizontal airflow slider on the side. It’s easy to adjust with your thumb and harder to accidentally block while drawing—something that tends to happen with vertical sliders on other pod vapes.
The USB-C port sits on the bottom, which means the device lies flat while charging, but OXVA’s fast-charging speeds make that minor inconvenience easy to overlook. The Ultra charges quickly and holds power well thanks to the large 1500mAh battery inside.
Features
The XLIM 3 Ultra keeps the interface simple and familiar.
- Five clicks turn the device on or off
- Four clicks locks the fire button
- Three clicks adjust wattage
- Two clicks open the menu
- One click fires manually
Once inside the menu, you can switch between themes, adjust the LED indicator, or reset your puff counter. Everything is straightforward, and the scrolling animations for each theme add a touch of personality without feeling excessive.
OXVA’s new Pulse System is also built in, and it aims to keep the vape output consistent even when the battery is nearly empty. During testing, I didn’t notice any flavour fade or drop in performance as the charge got low, which is impressive for a pod device.
As for cartridges, the Ultra is compatible with the full XLIM pod range, including 0.4Ω, 0.6Ω, 0.8Ω, and 1.2Ω options. This gives the device a wide range—anything from a warm, cloudy restricted direct-lung draw to a tighter, classic MTL experience.

Testing each pod:
- 0.6Ω: Automatically sets around the mid-20W range and gives a satisfying warm RDL draw with strong flavour.
- 0.8Ω: Smooth at 16–18W, ideal for a loose MTL or light RDL.
- 1.2Ω: Best for a straight MTL setup with the airflow half closed; good throat hit and balanced warmth.
- 0.4Ω: More power-hungry and cloudier; works well at around 30W for those who prefer heavier vapour output.
Across all pod options, flavour delivery was consistently solid, offering both that immediate “on the tongue” flavour and the fuller, lingering notes at the back of the throat.

Conclusion
The OXVA XLIM 3 Ultra is another strong addition to the XLIM family. It’s easy to operate, comfortable to hold, and delivers excellent flavour with every pod option. The Pulse System keeps the draw steady from full battery to nearly empty, and the updated screen and customization options make it feel like a modern pod kit without complicating things.
What stood out most to me was how well-balanced the device is—simple enough for beginners, but flexible enough for experienced users who like tuning their airflow and wattage. Whether you’re into tight MTL or smooth RDL, the Ultra handles both well.
Overall, OXVA has polished an already successful formula, and the XLIM 3 Ultra is a reliable, flavourful, and user-friendly choice for daily vaping.
