The vape world moves fast. Just as we were getting comfortable calling the OXVA XLIM Pro 2 the undisputed king of pod systems in 2024, OXVA dropped the XLIM Pro 3 (November 2025) to celebrate their 6th anniversary.
I’ve spent the last week carrying both devices—one in each pocket—to see if the Pro 3 is a genuine evolution or just a spec-sheet refresh. Here is my hands-on deep dive comparing the new heavyweight champion against its predecessor.

Design & Build
The Pro 2 was already a looker. It refined the original XLIM’s sharp edges into smoother curves and introduced the 0.56″ screen, which was impressive at the time. It feels compact, dense, and premium.
The XLIM Pro 3
Picking up the Pro 3, the first thing you notice is the heft. At 77g, it feels significantly more substantial than the Pro 2. It’s not “heavy” in a bad way; it feels like a piece of expensive tech.
But the real shocker is the screen. The Pro 3 features a massive 1.05-inch HD display that dominates the front panel. It makes the Pro 2’s screen look like a calculator display by comparison. The visuals are crisp, the animations (especially when charging or hitting a milestone puff) are fluid, and it gives the device a “mini-mod” vibe rather than a simple pod stick.
Winner: XLIM Pro 3 for the “wow” factor, though the Pro 2 remains slightly more pocket-friendly if you prefer stealth.
Battery Life
This is the upgrade I was waiting for.
-
XLIM Pro 2 (1300mAh): In my testing, the Pro 2 comfortably lasts a full work day (9 AM to 6 PM) with heavy use at 20W. By bedtime, I’m usually reaching for a cable.
-
XLIM Pro 3 (1500mAh): The extra 200mAh doesn’t sound like much on paper, but in practice, it’s a game-changer. I managed two full days of moderate MTL vaping (15W) without charging. Even pushing it to 25W for RDL vaping, it easily cleared the 24-hour mark.
Charging Test: Both support 2A fast charging. The Pro 3 hit 80% in exactly 28 minutes in my test, which is impressive given the larger capacity.
Winner: XLIM Pro 3. It effectively eliminates “range anxiety.”
Flavor & Performance
The Pro 3 introduces the new Photon Chip with a “Pulse System.” Marketing jargon? That’s what I thought until I vaped them side-by-side.
-
Consistency: The Pro 2 is fantastic, but as the battery dips below 20%, you can feel a slight drop in hit strength. The Pro 3’s pulse mode keeps the hit identically consistent from 100% battery down to 5%.
-
The New 3ml Pods: The Pro 3 ships with new 3ml top-fill pods. These are physically identical in shape to the V3 pods but hold 50% more juice.
-
Note: You can use these new 3ml pods on the Pro 2 (and vice versa), so Pro 2 users can still enjoy the capacity upgrade without buying the new device.
-
Flavor Test (using 0.6Ω Pod with Mango Ice):
-
Pro 2: Warm, saturated, sweet. A solid 9/10.
-
Pro 3: Slightly “crisper.” The ramp-up time is virtually instant. The flavor separation feels just a hair better, likely due to the pulse modulation preventing the coil from overheating during long drags.
Winner: Tie on flavor, but Pro 3 wins on consistency at low battery.
Usability & Interface
XLIM Pro 2
The interface is simple: one button. You click to change wattage, lock, etc. The screen shows the basics: Wattage, Ohms, Battery, Puffs.
XLIM Pro 3
The larger screen allows for a much better UI.
-
Visuals: You can see everything at a glance without squinting.
-
Themes: There are different visual themes (Sporty, Tech, etc.) which are fun to play with.
-
Control: It still uses the “one button” system (unless you get the Ultra version which is touchscreen), but the menu is easier to navigate because you can actually read the text prompts clearly.
One Grip: The huge screen on the Pro 3 is a fingerprint magnet. If you have OCD about smudges, you’ll be wiping it on your shirt constantly.
Verdict
The OXVA XLIM Pro 3 is not just a “Pro 2.5, it is a substantial leap forward, primarily in battery tech and display quality.
Stick with the XLIM Pro 2 if:
-
You bought it recently (within the last 3 months). It is still a top-tier device.
-
You prefer a lighter, more discreet vape that disappears in your pocket.
-
You don’t care about fancy screens and just want nicotine delivery.
Upgrade to the XLIM Pro 3 if:
-
Battery life is your #1 priority. The 1500mAh cell is best-in-class for a device this size.
-
You want the 3ml capacity out of the box (less filling!).
-
You are a tech geek who loves the high-res display and premium weight.
-
You are coming from an original XLIM (v1) or XLIM SE.
Final Score
-
OXVA XLIM Pro 2: 9.0/10 (The reliable standard).
-
OXVA XLIM Pro 3: 9.5/10 (The new powerhouse).
