OXVA’s XLIM series has been steadily pushing boundaries in the pod vape world, but the XLIM SQ Pro 2 feels like a genuine leap forward. It’s not just another pod kit with a bigger battery—it’s a device that marries design, usability, and technology in a way that sets it apart from most compact pod systems. Marketed as the XLIM family’s first full touchscreen pod system, it brings mobile-level responsiveness, detailed puff tracking, and clever everyday tools to a category that usually prioritizes simplicity over interactivity.
But does this level of “smart” functionality improve the actual vaping experience—or just add extra fluff? I spent time with the Brown Wood edition to find out.

Design & Build Quality
Right out of the box, the OXVA XLIM SQ Pro 2 makes a strong impression. Unlike previous squat, square-shaped SQ models, this one adopts a taller rectangular design with gently rounded corners, giving it a modern, more ergonomic profile. It fits beautifully in the hand, and the faux-wood finish on my review unit looks premium without feeling overdone. The gunmetal frame around the screen ties it all together, striking the right balance between style and durability.
At 113 grams, it has some reassuring heft but isn’t cumbersome. The 1.09-inch HD touchscreen dominates the front panel, and this is where the device really stands out. On the left side sits a large multi-function button (screen wake/power toggle), while the right side houses the airflow slider and Type-C port, both neatly recessed so you won’t adjust them by accident. Overall, it’s a clean, mature design that feels built for daily use.
Features
1. Touchscreen Experience
This is the star of the show. The 248×240 resolution display runs at 316 PPI with a 60Hz refresh rate, which makes it surprisingly crisp for a vape device. OXVA wasn’t exaggerating when they called it “mobile-level touch”—it really is buttery smooth and responsive, reacting instantly (<30ms) to swipes and taps.
I especially liked the default clock display, which doubles as a simple, always-ready home screen. Customization junkies will love the 64 possible combinations of themes, animations, and wallpapers, though I stuck with minimal settings. My only gripe: the UI can feel cluttered at times, with multiple menus leading to the same options. Thankfully, OXVA included a cheat sheet in the box, and once you learn the swipe gestures (up, down, left, right), navigation becomes second nature.
2. Battery Life & Charging
OXVA XLIM SQ Pro 2 Equipped with a 1600mAh internal battery, the SQ Pro 2 easily lasts a full day of moderate-to-heavy use, and in eco mode, it can stretch toward a week for lighter users. In my charge test, it reached 100% in about 55 minutes, but continued topping up for another 20 minutes before finishing—still quick for its size.
The charging animation is a nice touch, showing real-time status. Compared to the older SQ Pro, this jump from 1200mAh to 1600mAh makes a noticeable difference, especially when running pods at higher wattages.
3. Puff Tracking & Smart Features
This is where OXVA leans into “smart vape” territory. The 30-day puff diary provides real-time counts, weekly overviews, and monthly insights—a great tool if you’re tracking usage or cutting down nicotine. While I don’t check it every day, it’s handy to see just how long pods last before replacing.
Beyond vaping data, there are utility tools like a calendar, a stopwatch, a flashlight, and eco mode. Are these essential? Not really. But they add character, and I found the stopwatch surprisingly useful when timing steeping sessions for e-liquids.
4. Performance & Pods
Of course, all the fancy features would mean nothing if the performance wasn’t there—and thankfully, OXVA delivers. The OXVA XLIM SQ Pro 2 is compatible with the full XLIM pod lineup, from top-fill pods to the V2 and EZ versions.
Flavor is outstanding—the mesh coils deliver crisp, saturated hits that rival many larger kits. My current pod has clocked over 4000 puffs without leaking or losing flavor, which is impressive longevity. The auto-draw activation works flawlessly, with zero misfires. Airflow adjustment is smooth and has just the right tension, allowing for both tight MTL draws and looser RDL vaping depending on your preference.
Verdict
The OXVA XLIM SQ Pro 2 isn’t just an incremental update—it’s a bold reimagining of what a pod kit can be. By integrating a responsive HD touchscreen, a bigger 1600mAh battery, and comprehensive puff tracking, OXVA has made a device that feels more polished and personal than most pods on the market.
That said, the interface can feel busy at first, and some may see the extra tools as gimmicks. But once you learn the shortcuts, the experience becomes fluid and intuitive. Pair that with excellent pods, strong battery life, and stylish design, and you’ve got a kit that’s as practical as it is futuristic.
