This year there are a lot of new smartphones for Xiaomi, they never stop their steps. We know Xiaomi will release a new smartphone, Redmi S2 on May 10, which makes mi fans excited to offer the other choice.
Now at Geekbench, a model, ‘Valentino’ as a Xiaomi new phone has appeared, running Android 8.1 OS, coming with RAM 6GB, it has got 1485 points, and its multi-core performance is 5,440 points, which don’t look very outstanding.
But in this new phone’s specs list, it is powered by Qualcomm Octa core 1.44GHz processor, the code name is SDM638, according to Qualcomm naming strategy, it is estimated it will be Snapdragon 638, which seems to be first used on Xiaomi phone. We also speculate it will be Xiaomi MI MAX 3.
According to careful analysis, this SDM638 mutli-core and single core performance don’t have big gap compared with Snapdragon 660 processor, especially multi-core performance, so the possibility is that this processor should be Snapdragon 660 lower frequency version.

Right now we have no idea that this phone belongs to Xiaomi mi series or redmi series, but according to their specs, it will be a mid-range model. Do you think it will be MI MAX 3?
