Today, we’re delving into the Puffmi Dura 9000 disposable vape, the latest release from the innovative team at Puffmi.
Since its launch in 2021, Puffmi has amassed a considerable following, solidifying its position as a major player in the disposable vape market through the release of several outstanding disposables.
Earlier this year, we had the pleasure of reviewing their Puffmi C800, and it’s safe to say we were thoroughly impressed.
When Puffmi approached us to review their biggest and boldest disposable yet, the Puffmi Dura 9000, with its massive 20ml e-juice capacity, a 650mAh internal battery, and an impressive 9000 puff capacity, we needed little persuasion!
In a nutshell, the Puffmi Dura 9000 stands out as a multi-day, rechargeable disposable. With its enormous 20ml e-juice reservoir, a 650mAh internal battery, and an extensive 9000 puff capacity, it easily ranks among the longest-lasting disposables available.
To put it into perspective, the Puffmi Dura 9000’s 9000 puffs make it one of the most enduring disposables on the market. According to a recent study, 50% of vapers consume fewer than 236 puffs per day, suggesting that the Puffmi Dura 9000 could last an astonishing 38 days
The flavor range is both extensive and diverse, featuring a total of 24 mouth-watering options, including several unique and intriguing flavor blends.
Moreover, the Puffmi Dura 9000 offers flexibility in nicotine strength, available in either 20mg or 50mg, a feature distinguishing it from many other multi-day disposables that often only come in the higher 50mg nicotine strength.
Adding to the excitement, the Puffmi Dura 9000 is among the pioneers, being one of the very first disposables to incorporate a display, providing information on remaining battery and/or e-juice levels.
As you can probably tell, I’m genuinely enthusiastic about this disposable. But let’s move on from my excitement and dive into the comprehensive review of the Puffmi Dura 9000!
Before we proceed, I’d like to express my gratitude to Christy at PuffmiVape for sending me the Puffmi Dura 9000 disposables for this review. Rest assured, this review is entirely impartial, presenting only my honest opinions on the product. Unboxing
Opening the box, I extend my gratitude to Puffmi for not only providing us with four Dura 9000 disposables to review but also including a 3-in-1 telescopic USB charging cable and a handy keychain.
The versatile charging cable accommodates three different devices, supporting Micro, Lightning, and Type-C charging methods simultaneously.
As for the Puffmi Dura 9000 packaging, it remains familiar to those acquainted with disposable products. Encased in a small box, slightly larger than a pack of super-king cigarettes and made of thin card, it features printed product information, ingredients, and customary nicotine warnings.
The front of the box, the Puffmi logo, disposable name, Dura 9000 image, flavor name, puff count, nicotine strength, and battery capacity are displayed. The usual nicotine warning covers the bottom third of the box.
On the right-facing side, you’ll find the manufacture date, expiry date, disposable name, and a QR code for authenticity verification. While I typically don’t check QR codes, it’s a thoughtful inclusion.
Flipping to the left-facing side reveals a set of icons and another warning, conveying information that includes restrictions on vaping while pregnant and if you identify as a wheelie bin.
Turning to the back, details such as e-liquid capacity, nicotine strength, battery capacity, e-juice ingredients, manufacturer address, website URL, contact details, and an extensive list of warnings are all printed.
Upon opening the box, a sealed foil wrapper safeguards the Puffmi Dura 9000 disposable, ready for use. Simply tear open the foil pouch, and the disposable should effortlessly slide out.
Pre-charged and prepared for vaping, the disposable only requires the removal of the silicone plug from the mouthpiece and the protective sticker covering the airflow at the base.
While the packaging impresses with its well-designed and aesthetically pleasing features, displaying crucial information, I note a minor concern—the absence of the PG/VG ratio on the packaging. This information would be particularly useful for individuals with PG intolerance.
Performance
Let’s address the obvious first. The Puffmi Dura 9000 boasts an astonishingly long lifespan! I didn’t bother counting the number of puffs each disposable provided, but I managed to indulge in heavy vaping for a solid 14 days before running out of e-juice.
Needless to say, purchasing just two Puffmi Dura 9000 disposables a month would suffice for me! We’ll delve into the pricing details later, but it’s worth noting that the Dura 9000, being the longest-lasting disposable we’ve tested, is likely to offer fantastic value for money, depending on the final retail price.
Transitioning to lighter or occasional vaping, a single Puffmi Dura 9000 disposable could easily provide 3-4 weeks of vaping pleasure!
Moving beyond the overall lifespan, a full charge of the 650mAh battery yielded between 1.5 to 2 full days of intense vaping. Puffmi claims a full charge is good for around 1000 puffs, a statement that aligns with my daily puff range.
Additionally, the Puffmi Dura 9000 boasts pass-through vaping, allowing you to continue enjoying your vape while it’s charging.
As for the airflow and draw, they are perfect for my personal preference. Recognizing that this aspect is subjective and may vary from person to person, I appreciate a tight, restrictive MTL (mouth-to-lung) draw, precisely what the Dura 9000 delivers. If you’re seeking a disposable that closely mimics the sensation of smoking a cigarette, this one won’t disappoint.
Transitioning to throat hit and nicotine delivery, both are equally impressive, delivering a satisfying kick and hit with every puff. It’s worth noting that my assessment is based solely on testing the 50mg/ml nicotine strength, and I cannot confirm the same for the lower 20mg/ml strength.
The Puffmi Dura 9000 operates on auto-draw, and this feature works flawlessly, with a quick ramp-up time as soon as you take a puff. I encountered no issues, misfires, or delayed puffs across any of the four disposables I tested.
In terms of vapor production, it’s about average for a disposable. While you won’t be filling up the room with thick, dense vapor, it’s comparable to the smoke you’d inhale from a cigarette, more than sufficient for most users.
Moving on to flavor, it’s incredible and well above average. Available in a total of 24 different flavors, the four I tested were all crisp, sharp, and bursting with flavor.
Flavors
As mentioned earlier, the Puffmi Dura 9000 comes in 24 different flavors. The flavor range is quite diverse, and it’s pleasing to note the inclusion of a tobacco blend and a menthol/mint flavor. However, my only minor gripe pertains to the absence of dessert-based flavors, such as custard or lemon pie recipes, for example.
Despite this, I believe the Special Day might offer a somewhat dessert-esque experience (more on this in a minute!). Additionally, I can’t complain too much since they’ve included a coffee-based flavor, which is not commonly found in disposables.
Furthermore, Puffmi has reached out to confirm that they are actively working on expanding the flavor range even further. The current comprehensive list of flavors includes:

Puffmi generously sent us the Rainbow Drop, Zesty Cola, Grape Honeydew Melon, and Special Day flavors to try. I’ll provide detailed descriptions for each below.
Starting with Zesty Cola, this flavor is pretty self-explanatory. It offers a sweet, tangy cola with fizzy pop and a delicious aftertaste that lingers on the exhale. Puffmi has truly perfected this blend, resembling the premium fizzy cola bottles from old-fashioned sweet shops, and you can almost taste the bubbles. For me, it’s an all-day vape and possibly ranks among the top three all-time fizzy cola e-juice recipes.
The Rainbow Drop flavor proves challenging to pinpoint, as there is no official breakdown available on the Puffmi website. However, it can best be described as a fruit bomb, with distinct strawberry, citrus, and tropical flavor notes forming a delightful fruity medley. Upon inhalation, it bursts with a sweet, fruity, candy-like flavor reminiscent of a mouthful of Skittles!
Moving on to the Grape Honeydew Melon, a Puffmi Dura 9000 Disposable variant, this particular flavor didn’t resonate as strongly with me, primarily because I’m not a big fan of grape-flavored e-juice. Despite grape being the dominant flavor note for my taste buds, the sweet honeydew and juicy melon come through, especially on the exhale. Although not my top choice, it’s a flavor I can happily vape throughout the day, even if I wouldn’t rush to repurchase it.
Now, onto the Special Day flavor, also from the Puffmi Dura 9000 Disposable series, which left me completely perplexed. It’s undeniably delicious, but I can’t for the life of me discern what it’s meant to be. The extreme sweetness leads me to believe it might be a birthday cake flavor – a hypothesis that aligns with its name. Despite the uncertainty surrounding its profile, it unexpectedly became my favorite among the four flavors I tested.
Verdict
The retail price of the yet-to-be-officially-released Puffmi Dura 9000 disposable cannot be confirmed at the moment. I will update this post as soon as it hits the market. Hoping for a final retail price in the $10-$15 range may be optimistic, considering the 20ml e-juice and 9000 puff capacity.
It’s advisable to shop around for the best deals and consider buying in bulk, as many online retailers typically offer discounts for purchasing more than one disposable at a time.
Moving on to the verdict on the Puffmi Dura 9000 Disposable:
In terms of pros, it boasts 20ml of e-juice, a substantial 9000 puffs, an LED battery and e-liquid display, long-lasting performance, fantastic flavor, no burnt or dry hits, a diverse flavor range including tobacco and menthol, decent vapor production, fast charging, pass-through vaping, ease of use, compact and lightweight design, an eye-catching appearance, robust durability, comfortable ergonomics, responsive auto-draw, and efficient nicotine delivery. On the downside, there are limited dessert-based flavors available, and the PG/VG ratio is not listed.
As expected, finding no significant negatives in a product review is rare. Even though nit-picking might lead one to desire the PG/VG ratio on the packaging and a few more dessert-type flavors, these are minor concerns.
Overall, the Puffmi Dura 9000 disposable receives high praise. From puff capacity to longevity, battery life, flavor, throat hit, and MTL draw, it stands out as one of the best disposables ever used. Despite minor preferences, such as wanting more flavor options, it’s evident that this product has left a positive impression.
