Igeekphone reported on June 4th that this morning, Han Boxiao, the product manager of vivo, shared real photos of the vivo X Fold5.
Han Boxiao introduced that the vivo X Fold5 will surpass the X Fold3 and become the world’s lightest and first three-proof large foldable device. However, a good hand feel must be both “light” and “thin”.
How thin can the X Fold5 be this time? We took two comparison pictures. Let’s take a look. The body thickness of the X Fold5 is very close to that of the mainstream benchmark straight-bar flagship iPhone 16 Pro Max. It is both thin and light.

It is known that the thickness of the iPhone 16 Pro Max is 8.25mm. Judging from the exposed real machine photos, the thickness of the vivo X Fold5 is slightly thicker than that of the iPhone 16 Pro Max. It is estimated that the thickness is about 9mm.
In addition, the weight of the vivo X Fold5 is less than 219g, which is lighter than that of the iPhone 16 Pro Max (the iPhone 16 Pro Max weighs 227g). This is the lightest large foldable screen in history.

In terms of core configuration, the vivo X Fold5 is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen3 platform, supporting 90W wired flash charging. It features a Zeiss triple rear camera setup, including a main camera, an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a periscope telephoto lens.
This new product will be officially released this month.
