On the last day of 2022, the Redmi brand offered its new flagships Redmi K60 and K60 Pro for sale, giving its fans in China a big gift. But not all surprises are limited to this. The company also introduced the extremely affordable Redmi 12C today.
Redmi 12C has included a dual camera system with a 50MP main camera and a 2MP secondary camera in its new budget-friendly model. The device has a 5MP selfie camera. There is also a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support, a Bluetooth 5.1 module, and a fingerprint scanner on the back.
The thickness of the Redmi 12C is 8.77 mm, and its weight is 192 grams. It comes out of the box with MIUI 12 based on the Android 13 operating system. It is unclear whether the smartphone will be sold outside of China. Below are the price tags that vary according to the hardware configuration.
Redmi 12C will be available from January 1st starting at 699 yuan (around $100). The user is offered four colors – green, purple, black, and blue. The back texture is the same for everyone. Usually, the Redmi C series is available outside of China (including in Russia), so the chances of an international release of the Redmi 12C are also good.
