With the Redmi Pad, Xiaomi introduces its first Redmi series tablet. This suggests that the 10.6-inch device offers good features for an affordable price. Redmi Pad is claimed to be suitable for students, housewives, and adults in general who want to have a tablet as a complementary device for their smartphone.
Design
Redmi Pad is wrapped in an aluminum casing which makes it look like an iPad. Plus, the flat side touches give it an upscale feel. The back of the Redmi Pad is embedded with a camera housing in the upper left corner, which is large enough for only one camera lens. Underneath, there is the Redmi logo and the rest is clean without any design ornaments.
Supported by quad-speaker Dolby Atmos, the top and bottom sides of the tablet (portraitly) are filled with speaker holes. This provides immersive sound from all sides. The power button is placed on the top side and the volume buttons on the right side of the device.
Features
The screen size is also quite good with a size of 10.61 inches, the device is capable of playing high-resolution videos up to 2K. In terms of chipset, this device is equipped with a special gaming processor chip, namely the MediaTek Helio G99, with a 6nm fabrication process and speeds of up to 2.2GHz.
Redmi Pad has also supported with LPDDR4X + UFS 2.2 memory and is the largest in its class. This is realized through 6GB of RAM with a RAM expansion feature of up to 2GB, as well as a 128GB capacity ROM that supports MicroSD external storage up to 1TB.
Entering the camera specifications, both the front camera and the rear camera are both 8MP in size. The front camera can be reliably used to make video calls and is equipped with the “FocusFrame” feature which can automatically change the view to be wider.
Entering the battery specifications, the Redmi Pad is equipped with an 8000mAh battery and supports fast charging of 18W.
Price and Color Variants
In terms of price, of course, this is the most tempting option – Starts at $436.99 (8GB + 128GB Version) consumers get a tablet that feels premium and sturdy. The Redmi Pad comes in two color choices, namely Graphite Gray and Moonlight Silver.
