At the event of the launch of the duo Redmi K20 and K20 Pro, Xiaomi ‘s sub-brand Redmi also unveiled the first laptop named RedmiBook 14 with slim, compact, lightweight, relatively configurable and the price is quite reasonable.
Specifically, with RedmiBook 14, users will have a pretty nice design. The whole notebook is finished from metal material with a lightweight, only 1.5kg. This is Redmi’s laptop towards the segment of devices “thin, compact, light” but still owns the hardware configuration stretching from mid-range to high-end with Core i5 / i7 chip.
As the name suggests, the screen of the RedmiBook 14 is 14 inches in size with a relatively thin screen border, only 5.75mm and the display area ratio is 81.2%, with Full HD resolution. This screen of the device is also integrated anti-glare feature, ensuring good use in daylight conditions.
At the bottom, we will have a full-size keyboard with full function keys, giving the feeling of typing quite a hand. The TouchPad of the machine has a moderate size, enough to manipulate with different gestures. Unlike the MacBook, the RedmiBook 14 has a lot of connectivity ports, including an HDMI port, 2 USB 3.0 ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB 2.0 port.
Regarding hardware configuration, RedmiBook 14 is equipped with Intel Core i7-8565U processor, NVIDIA GeForce MX250 graphics card. Users can also choose cheaper versions with Core i5 chips. The device is equipped with an SSD with a maximum capacity of 512GB. Redmibook 14 also features Smart Unlock 2.0, which allows users to unlock the device in just 1.2 seconds with the Mi Band 3. The battery of the Redmi device claims to provide up to 10 hours of battery life.
In addition, RedmiBook 14 will also run Windows 10 license, preinstalled with Microsoft Office Home and Student and integrated HD DTS audio technology.
In terms of price, RedmiBook 14 will be sold at a price of 3999 yuan (about ) for Core i5 + SSD 256GB, 4299 yuan (about ) for i5 + 512GB and 4999 yuan (about ) for i7 + 512GB. The first batch of sale will take place at 12:00 am on June 11 here in local time.
