ROG Phone 6 officially Announced on July 5: New Gen of Snapdragon 8+


ROG official Twitter, ROG Phone 6 will be released at 8 pm Beijing time on July 5. Qualcomm officially released the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 last month, and ASUS announced that the new ROG Phone 6 will be equipped with Qualcomm’s new-generation Snapdragon 8+.

ASUS released the ROG gaming phone 5s and 5s Pro in August last year. Compared with the ROG gaming phone 5 series, it has been upgraded to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus processor. The screen touch sampling rate has been increased from 300Hz to 360Hz. It is equipped with a 6000mAh battery and supports 65W. Fast charge.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is manufactured based on TSMC’s 4nm process. The main frequency of CPU and GPU is increased by 10%, the overall chip power consumption is reduced by 15%, and the main frequency of the CPU core is raised to 3.2GHz.

According to Qualcomm’s official test data, the average frame rate of Snapdragon 8+ playing 60 frames of Genshin Impact mobile game for 1 hour reaches 60.2FPS, and the power consumption is reduced by 30%. Mobile phones using Snapdragon 8+ are expected to be launched in the third quarter of this year.
