On July 13th, IGEEKPHONE reported that the specification improvements of Samsung’s new-generation flagship phone, the S26 Ultra, have always been the focus of public attention. The latest leaks indicate that the main camera of the S26 Ultra will bring a “surprising surprise”.
According to the blogger “Dingjiao Digital”, the main camera of the S26 Ultra may adopt SONY’s 200-megapixel CMOS, with a sensor size of 1/1.1 inch.

It stated: “The S26 Ultra (with a low probability of waiting until the S27U) uses SONY’s 1/1.1200M CMOS, which is extremely powerful,” and “It is very likely to be the strongest CIS at present.”
If the leak is true, the 1/1.1 inch of the S26 Ultra will be significantly larger than the 1/1.3 inch used by the S25 Ultra, indicating that the camera hardware of the S26 Ultra will undergo a substantial improvement.
However, for a long time, the main cameras of Samsung’s flagship models have almost exclusively used its own ISOCELL sensors, and the 200-megapixel main camera equipped starting from the S23 Ultra is no exception.
If the S26 Ultra really adopts SONY sensors for the first time as rumored, it will be a major strategic shift for Samsung and a crucial breakthrough for both sides.
