Sony’s WF-1000XM4 is a completely new product, with huge changes in appearance, performance, and functionality.
First of all, in terms of appearance, Sony WF-1000XM4 earphones continue the previous bean-shaped in-ear design, but the volume is smaller, the case is more round, the volume of the charging case is reduced by 40%, the default earplugs are upgraded to memory sponge, which can more effectively improve the noise reduction effect and sound quality.
As a true wireless headset featuring noise reduction, Sony WF-1000XM4 has further improved its noise reduction performance by upgrading Sony’s self-developed V1 processor, which improves the noise reduction ability by 40% compared to the previous one, and effectively improves the noise reduction ability of high frequency, while also automatically detecting wind noise.
In addition, the WF-1000XM4 also enables adaptive sound control, which automatically identifies the scene and provides preset headphone effects, as well as the ability to manually switch 20-level ambient sound.
In terms of sound quality, Sony WF1000-XM4 is the first LDAC encoded true wireless Bluetooth headset, which not only has three times more data transmission capacity than ordinary Bluetooth headset, but also supports DSEE Extreme and 360 Reality Audio, with the use of AI technology. In terms of battery life, Sony WF1000-XM4 can last up to 8 hours with noise reduction on (24 hours with charging case), 12 hours with noise reduction off (36 hours with charging case), and it also supports fast charging, charging for 5 minutes and listening for 1 hour. It also supports wireless charging with Qi protocol.
