Igeekphone reported on June 1st that Huawei held a full-scenario new product launch event in Chengdu, Sichuan Province today, and launched the Nova 16 series of mobile phones. Among them, the Nova 16z is mainly supplied to online channels, equipped with a 50-megapixel red maple imaging system, with an initial price of 2,699 yuan, and will officially go on sale at 10:08 on June 5th.
According to Huawei Terminal BG CEO He Gang, the Nova 16z will offer three color options: Sky White, Chromatic Agate, and Starry Black. The overall design elements are quite different from those of the 16 standard edition, 16 Pro, etc. The frame is of a glossy design, and the back panel of the light-colored model features gradient elements. The rear camera module is of an elliptical frame and a rounded rectangular lens design.

In terms of specifications, the Nova 16z features a rear 50-megapixel red maple image system and a front 50-megapixel ultra-clear portrait lens. It supports the Time Capsule theme and AI photo editing. It comes with a 6.7-inch ultra-clear OLED screen that is eye-friendly and supports 5A speed and Beidou satellite messaging.

Meanwhile, this mobile phone is equipped with the Kirin 8020 chip and the HarmonyOS 6.1 operating system. It is claimed to offer “powerful performance”, and is equipped with a 6000mAh silicon-negative large battery, supporting 100W wired fast charging.

Igeekphone obtained from the event venue that the 256GB version of the Nova 16z is priced at 2,699 yuan, and the 512GB version is priced at 3,199 yuan. It is exclusively available through the Huawei Mall and authorized e-commerce platforms.
