The only difference is that the processor is replaced with Kirin 985 and it also supports 5G. This is another new way out for Huawei mobile phones, and it’s just the beginning. There are rumors that TD Tech is still preparing a new M40, the soul of Huawei Mate 40, which uses a Kirin 9000E processor and supports 5G.
Now, TD Tech’s Mate 40Enumbered “TDT-MA01” has obtained the 3C certification, which is said to be M40, but it is not Mate 40, but Mate 40E.
The certification information shows that the machine supports 5G, 40W (10V4A), 22.5W (10V2.25A/5V4.5A/4.5V5A) fast charging protocol, which is obviously a proprietary technology of Huawei mobile phones. It’s a pity that it doesn’t send charging heads, and it’s pursuing “environmental protection”…
If it is really TD Tech’s Mate 40E, then the processor should be the previous generation Kirin 990E, which was once launched by Mate 30E Pro, 7nm EVU process, A75+A55 CPU core, Mali-G76 MP14 core, large core + micro core NPU. It seems that Huawei still has some Kirin chip inventories.
