Igeekphone News, June 24th: The technology media SammyPolice published a blog post yesterday (June 23rd), reporting that based on the data from the GSMA IMEI database, Traces of two new models, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge and the Galaxy S26 Ultra, have been discovered.
According to the information displayed in the database, the model of the Galaxy S26 Edge is SM-S947U (US version), and the models of the Galaxy S26 Ultra mobile phone are SM-S948U (US version) and SM-S948N (Korean version).
The media believes that the early debut of the Galaxy S26 Edge at this stage might imply that Samsung will really, as previously rumored, cancel the Plus version and instead launch the Edge model.
In terms of the system, it is reported that the Galaxy S26 series mobile phones will be equipped with the One UI 8.5 update. Although the detailed information about this new version remains confidential, the return of the “(.5)” update suggests that Samsung is accelerating the adjustment of the release rhythm to alleviate the impact of the version update progress slowed by One UI 7.
