The low range of Motorola is close to receiving a new member. After a Moto E4 that arrived in silence in June of last 2017, the company belonging to Lenovo intends to renew one of its most iconic families with the new Moto E5, which today has let us take a first look at its design thanks to an officially leaked render.
Thanks to the image, offered by an authentic website, we can see how Motorola’s new affordable phone will continue the design lines of the company’s latest terminals, adopting interesting changes like the new and curious location of the fingerprint reader.
The new Moto E5, which should be presented in the middle of this year if Motorola has not decided to change plans, will have a metallic body with the lines of the antennas well concealed and that, among others, will arrive in golden color. However, the most striking aspect of its physical appearance is probably the location of the fingerprint reader: in the back, sharing the place with the Motorola batwings logo.
Just above this sensor, we find the main camera, located inside a prominent elevation, where the LED flash is also located. Traveling to the front, we see that Motorola has not decided to add to the trend of reducing screen frames, but quite the opposite. Instead, it does seem to be a panel of 18: 9 around 5 inches, with slightly rounded corners.
Beyond the details related to its physical appearance, the image lets us see that Motorola will not make the jump to USB Type C in its low range, but that we will find a microUSB port again, and that the LED flash also occupies a place in the front to illuminate the night selfies.

Before finalizing, a comment that in the clock widget that appears on the screen of the Moto E5, the date indicated is April 3. While it could be a coincidence, it would not be the first time that a manufacturer makes a similar tactic to announce the date of presentation of their devices. Anyway, we will be attentive to learn more about the most affordable Motorola phone except surprise for this 2018.
