According to AzerNEWS, Azerbaijan has imposed fines for the import, export, production and sale of e-cigarettes.
According to the amendment to the “Administrative Offenses Code” approved by President Ilham Aliyev, the use of e-cigarettes in places prohibited by the “Restriction on the Use of Tobacco Products Law”, including streets and other public areas, will be subject to a fine of 30 manats (17.6 US dollars).
Administrative violations such as the import, export, production, wholesale or retail sale of electronic cigarettes and their components, as well as the storage for the purpose of sale, will also be subject to penalties.
Among them, individuals will be fined between 350 and 500 manats (205.8 to 294.10 US dollars); officials will be fined between 1,650 and 2,200 manats (970.5 to 1,294.00 US dollars); and legal entities will be fined between 4,000 and 5,000 manats (2,352 to 2,941 US dollars).
The related illegal products will be confiscated.
