Igeekphone News, December 3rd: Android Headline, a technology media outlet, published a blog post yesterday (December 2nd), sharing a renderings showcasing the MOTOROLA Edge 70 Ultra smartphone, which is available in at least two color options: deep blue and deep olive green.
In terms of material, sources revealed that the MOTOROLA Edge 70 Ultra offers a better grip than glass and metal. The back cover features a unique texture similar to denim, suggesting that it might be made of fiber-reinforced plastic or high-molecular polymer materials.
In terms of design, the MOTOROLA brand logo is located in the center of the back of the body. In the upper left corner is a square camera module, which contains three cameras and an LED flash. It is speculated that it is a combination of a main camera, an ultra-wide-angle lens and a periscope telephoto lens. In addition, on the right side of the body are the power button and volume buttons, and on the left side, a new independent physical button has been added, which is expected to be used for AI functions and support customization.

In terms of performance, according to information from leaker Evan Blass and Geekbench benchmark scores, the MOTOROLA Edge 70 Ultra has been confirmed to be equipped with Qualcomm’s fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 chip.
It should be noted that this is not Qualcomm’s top-of-the-line fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Ultra, but a slightly lower-positioned sub-flagship chip, yet it still boasts powerful performance.
Geekbench data shows that the single-core score of this device is 2636 points and the multi-core score is 7475 points. At the same time, it has been confirmed that a 16GB RAM version will be provided and the Android 16 operating system will be pre-installed.

Although the renderings do not show the front, it is expected that the Edge 70 Ultra will feature a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 120Hz high refresh rate, and be equipped with a centered punch-hole front camera and ultra-narrow bezels.
Igeekphone quoted a blog post as saying that its predecessor, the Edge 50 Ultra, used a curved screen. However, considering that the standard version of the Edge 70 has shifted to a straight screen, the Edge 70 Ultra may also follow suit and adopt a straight screen design to cater to the current market trend. Of course, MOTOROLA may also retain the curved screen as a differentiating feature between the “Ultra” model and the standard version.
In terms of the release date, considering the release pace of its competitors, MOTOROLA may release this phone in early 2026, for instance, during the Mobile World Congress (MWC).
