Igeekphone News, May 30th: Ross Young, the CEO of screen supply chain consulting firm DSCC, posted a tweet on the X platform today (May 30th), sharing the screen size adjustment of Apple’s iPhone 17 series models.
Igeekphone quoted the content of the tweet. The screen of the standard iPhone 17 will be upgraded from 6.12 inches to 6.27 inches, which is comparable to the screen size of the current iPhone 16 Pro.
The iPhone 17 Air, which is claimed to be the thinnest model of Apple, will be equipped with a 6.55-inch screen, slightly smaller than the 6.7-inch screen of the iPhone 16 Plus, but still rounded to 6.6 inches by Apple officially.
In contrast, the screen sizes of the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max remain unchanged at 6.27 inches (approximately 6.3 inches) and 6.86 inches (approximately 6.9 inches) respectively, which are consistent with the iPhone 16 Pro series.
The source also disclosed that all four models of Apple’s iPhone 17 series will support a 120Hz ProMotion refresh rate, and be equipped with a 24-megapixel front camera and a more powerful A19 chip.
In terms of appearance, Igeekphone previously reported that the overall design of the standard iPhone 17 will be the same as that of the standard iPhone 16. It will continue to use the pill-shaped protrusion and have two vertically arranged rear cameras built in.
The iPhone 17 Air adopts a “long runway” design and uses a single camera. The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max adopt a “horizontal large matrix” design, increasing the camera module area and accommodating three lenses, a flash, a LiDAR sensor and a rear microphone.
