UMIDIGI BISON X10 Review – 4G Rugged Smartphone at $129.99 From Banggood

Finally, UMIDIGI has launched its new series of rugged smartphones BISON X. They are the first of the brand to bet squarely on a premium and modern design, without losing its off-road characteristics. The series is made up of two models: the UMIDIGI BISON X10 and the BISON X10 Pro. Both come with an Helio P60 processor, a 6150 mAh battery, and IP68 / IP69K resistors. These rugged smartphones start at $129.99 in their launch offer, so we are facing two very attractive phones in quality/price.

    Design

The most interesting thing about this BISON X series is the design. Despite being rugged phones, the BISON X10 and BISON X10 Pro are not smartphones with a rough, bulky, or generally ugly appearance. The BISON X10 features a matte AG fiberglass back cover with rubber pads and heavy-duty metal frames. That makes it a mobile that looks great but at the same time robust and resistant.

And it is that the two smartphones of this series have achieved the IP68, IP69K, and MIL-STD-810G certifications, which guarantee their total resistance to water, dust, falls, and thermal steam washing. It is worth noting that the BISON X10 Pro has a different design, more robust in appearance since it uses an industrial rubberized body with reinforced pads and metal edges. Either way, both are just as tough. The choice between one or the other is completely subjective in this regard, as it depends on which design you like the most.

On the other hand, the BISON X10 and BISON X10 Pro use a 6.53-inch screen with HD + resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels. Its aspect ratio is 20: 9, making it perfect for watching series, movies, and videos in general. Not bad at all, for what these phones are worth.

    Hardware

The mobiles of this series use the Helio P60 8-core processor that reaches a maximum clock speed of 1.8 GHz. In addition, they come with 4 GB of RAM. This is enough to enjoy the fast and smooth performance in social media apps, WhatsApp, simple games, basic tools, and not very demanding tasks in general. Notably, the Helio P60 is a 2018 mid-range processor, so don’t expect much from it. But rest assured that for basic use, the smartphone will perform more than well. The good thing about using this processor from several years ago is that it allows the price of these phones to not exceed € 120 (in the most expensive version).

On the other hand, we have to clarify that the BISON X10 only comes with 64 GB of storage, while the BISON X10 Pro is only available with 128 GB of storage. This makes a difference in price, so keep that in mind. Also, do not forget that you can expand the storage of both devices with a micro SD up to 256 GB.

    Features

The cameras of these mobiles are exactly the same. On the front, they have an 8 MP camera that promises good results in video calls and selfies. On the back, they have a triple camera; that takes quality photos in bright environments and records in 1080p at 30 FPS. This camera is composed of a 20 MP main sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle and 120 ° angle of view; and a 5 MP macro lens that is capable of focusing on objects only 3 centimeters away.

The BISON X10 and BISON X10 Pro are perfect phones to go on an adventure; away from the comfort of the city. Not only because they have the GPS, Glonass, Beidou, and Galileo navigation systems, as well as the possibility of using two 4G SIMs with great coverage around the world, but also because they mount a 6150 mAh battery that will not leave you stranded anywhere. moment.

As for the operating system; they use Android 11 as the standard in Stock version (without layers of customization or bloatware). But the coolest thing about these ruggedized is a large number of extras they offer: NFC compatible with Google Pay; FM radio, headphone jack, OTG to connect peripherals, and two programmable physical buttons to do the function that you choose.

    Conclusion

The only thing they don’t share is the storage size and design (which makes the BISON X10 Pro 3 grams heavier). Ah! And only the BISON X10 Pro camera has a built-in infrared thermometer. Otherwise, its specifications match 100%. We can buy it from Banggood at $129.99 in Flash sale.
