Apple released the macOS Ventura 13.2.1, iPadOS 16.3.1, and iOS 16.3.1 updates today, which are relatively modest. However, this update fixes a vulnerability that has been exploited by hackers, and Igeekphone recommends users upgrade as soon as possible.
According to Apple’s official update log, the update fixes a bug in WebKit that allows maliciously created Web content to execute arbitrary code. Apple said it had seen evidence that hackers had used the flaw to launch attacks. The bug was a type confusion issue that Apple said it had fixed with improved checks.
There are no other notable fixes in macOS Ventura 13.2.1. The iOS 16.3.1 update fixes issues with Siri Find My and iCloud Settings, and optimizes “car crash detection” on iPhone 14 models.
