Vaporesso ARMOUR G/GS vs ARMOUR ULTRA: Which One will you Choose?

When Vaporesso releases something under the ARMOUR lineup, you know it’s built to last — and to perform. Both the Vaporesso ARMOUR G/GS and ARMOUR ULTRA push the limits of what pod mods and compact DTL devices can do, but they serve slightly different audiences. One focuses on portability and efficiency, while the other is a tank in disguise — designed for endurance, flavor, and raw power.

    Design

The ARMOUR G/GS feels like a refined evolution of Vaporesso’s pod mod DNA. It’s 30% smaller than other 3000mAh devices, with a curvy, grippy design that feels soft but sturdy. The brand used a car seat-grade material on the body, giving it that premium, comfortable texture. It’s the kind of vape that fits naturally in your palm — easy to carry, easy to pocket, and never awkward to hold.

Meanwhile, the ARMOUR ULTRA is built like a fortress. Vaporesso didn’t just make a mod — they made a tool for the wild. It’s IP68 and IP69K certified, meaning it’s waterproof, dustproof, waterjet-proof, and even 1.2m drop-tested to military standards (MIL-STD-810H). Despite packing a massive 5500mAh battery, it’s still relatively compact and lighter than many dual-battery mods. The outer shell feels robust and industrial, designed for people who don’t baby their devices.

So, while the ARMOUR G/GS is made for everyday ease and style, the ULTRA is unapologetically built for survival.

    Features

Here’s where the two start to show their distinct personalities.

The ARMOUR G/GS runs on a 3000mAh built-in “Mega Batt”, powered by the AXON chip and Vaporesso’s Neo Pulse Mode. What stands out here is its consistency — the device maintains full power output even as the battery drains, meaning the flavor and vapor don’t fade halfway through your day. It’s also equipped with COREX technology, which keeps your hits smooth and flavorful.

The top airflow and top-fill pod system is another plus — nearly leakproof and incredibly easy to refill. Plus, the GTX coil compatibility gives you a wide range of coil options, from tight MTL to open RDL draws. In short, the G/GS is designed for those who want flavor, control, and reliability — without the bulk.

The ARMOUR ULTRA, on the other hand, is a whole new category. Vaporesso calls it the world’s first ULTRA Mod, and it earns the title. With a 5500mAh battery (roughly equal to two 18650s) and up to 100W of output, it’s made for serious DTL vapers. The ULTRA introduces Boost Mode, offering a 25% improvement over Pulse Mode for faster ramp-up and stronger flavor hits.

It also debuts GTi Dual Mesh coils inside the iTank T, delivering larger vapor, smoother airflow, and a 30% longer coil lifespan. Pair that with quad-proof protection, and you have a device that doesn’t just perform — it endures.

    Performance & Experience

If you’re into steady, flavorful, all-day performance, the ARMOUR G/GS is your reliable daily driver. It fires instantly, maintains consistent power, and the airflow system gives you flexibility, whether you prefer restricted or open draws. It’s ideal for users who value portability, simplicity, and style — a mod that fits both casual and serious vaping routines.

The ARMOUR ULTRA, however, is made for power chasers. Its Boost Mode and Dual Mesh setup create thick, saturated vapor and flavor that stays rich even during long sessions. The airflow feels wide and buttery, while the device itself feels practically indestructible. This is the kind of mod you take outdoors, on trips, or anywhere you don’t want to worry about charging or dropping your vape.

    Conclusion

Both devices carry Vaporesso’s signature innovation and attention to detail — but they’re made for different lifestyles.

    • Choose ARMOUR G/GS if you want a compact, stylish, and efficient pod mod that delivers consistent performance without compromising on style. It’s perfect for daily carry and smooth flavor on the go.

    • Choose ARMOUR ULTRA if you need power, endurance, and toughness. It’s built for enthusiasts who want full DTL performance, maximum flavor, and a device that can handle anything life throws at it.

In short: ARMOUR G/GS is your everyday warrior; ARMOUR ULTRA is your unstoppable tank.
