Just yesterday MediaTek introduced its latest mid-range processor Helio P22 and was generally expected to be in use in the 3rd quarter of this year. Today, however, without the big fanfare, the Vivo Y83, which is currently equipped with this processor, was introduced.
The phone looks like a premium-looking device, a full-screen design and, of course, a “bite” of the display. It will be in the white, black and red color variants, and will have an all-metal finish surprisingly without the presence of a fingerprint reader so it will rely purely on unlocking with face recognition.
The Smartphone will run on Android 8.1 Oreo with the FunTouch OS 4.0 and will offer a 6.22-inch 19: 9 HD + 1520 × 720 pixel display, said Helio P22 octa-core processor with 8 Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 2 GHz and hardware support for bokeh effect calculations. As far as memory equipment is concerned, Vivo Y83 has got 3GB of RAM, 64GB of internal memory and now 3 slots, a pair of SIM cards and a separate memory expansion slot with a microSD card.
It will also try to take advantage of the new chipset technology for better photo processing, the main rear camera will be 13MP with f / 2.2, but the Helio P22 will provide EIS, RSC, advanced 3A technology and ultra-fast contrast and light change evaluation. The front 8MP selfie camcorder will also be used to unlock the phone and have Vivo Jovi AI artificial intelligence that will “know you better than yourself”. It should monitor your day-to-day activities and routines, and then be able to assist with the context of the situation.
The Vivo Y83 will have a 3260mAh battery capacity and will, of course, offer a full range of connectivity options including 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi b / g / n, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS and more. There was also a 3.5mm headphone jack and FM radio. The Smartphone is already on offer with the official online store Vivo and will be priced at a relatively cheap device with a price of 1498 yuan (about $235).
