You may remember , several days ago there were several leaks and rumours about Oukitel newest offering the Oukitel K7000. It was announce at the time that it would be the worlds thinnest phone at only 4mm and come with a battery capacity of 7,000mAh and come with a 5″ display Everyone wondered how is that possible and believed that Oukitel had had a major technological breakthrough. Today Oukitel came clean and made an official announcement to answer this yesterday.
Oukitel have announced a charger case that they have dubbed the “Matrix”, and is Similar to iPhone’s Juice Pack.Oukitel’s version is a wireless power bank, and will come in the box of the K7000 as a standard package. Users don’t need to buy it separately.The Oukitel K7000 actually has a battery capacity of 2000mAh combined with the 5000mAh power pack, the user gets the 7000mAh as promised. Which doesnt come as a surprise because if it had to be purchased separately , the Oukitel would only have a 2000 mAh battery.
The “Matrix” also has the ability to charge other devices directly, although practically speaking I only carry 1 device with me, so I’m not really sure how this will be received in the market.It can also comes with a phone stand for watching videos etc. Enough about the battery, the Oukitel K7000 will have a fingerprint sensor at back and will run on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
As far as the hardware goes it will come with a 5-inch screen, a mediatek MT6737 chipset and quad-core A53 chipset, As far as memory goes it will come in a 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM with 32GB versions. It will have a 5.0MP shooter up front and a 13MP shooter round the back.The Oukitel K7000 will come in three colors rose gold, champagne gold, and space grey.
So to answer the question in the title, no the Oukitel K7000 is not going to be the slimmest phone with the largest battery capacity, and the announced capacity is counted with an external powerbank. Im pretty sure the pundits that thought that Oukitel had a breakthrough will be very disappointed and it remains to seen whether or not this clever marketing strategy has worked.
